Well the art isn't all original. The original main plate art was lost and thanks to Dave getting the original belt from The Grappler, it was finally recreated. I was the first guinea pig that ordered one. It took 2 years because of the artwork issues (back then belts were being done in just a few months whereas now 2 years is almost the norm because of all the orders Dave gets).
We went back and forth, I personally made 3 chenges to the art before I thought it was perfect, only to find I missed one spot after I got my belt. If you look on Dave's site you'll see my Portland collection: the PNW Heavyweight, TV, & Tag!
Yes, I know Len and use to go hang out at his old Transmission shop where the original belt was, use to go see it all the time. Once I found out that Dave got the original is when i orderd my copy, The Tag is the next on my list. Nice collection!
David Sierra also wrestled in Portland as The Destroyer (1980-81), The Assassin (a year or so later) & then as babyface wrestler Top Gun (late '80s) - all in the same area & under a mask each time. :)
in addition there were two guys who did the Demolition Smash gimmick Darsow is the second the first was Randy Colley who also Did the gimmicks of Moodog Rex,Detroit Demolition and Dead Eye Dick, one of many guys to call himself the Assassin ( the Most famous is Jody Hamilton) Randy the Mountaineer, One of a few guys to call himself "the Nightmare" and just Randy Colley.
Good call, you guys... Darsow, not Eadie, was the Repo Man. Speaking of Eadie, I wish there was more Masked Superstar stuff on here. He was my favorite!
Barry Darsow has that honor, as well as being Crusher Darsow, Krusher Kruschev (sp?), Demoliton Smash, Blacktop Bully and Mr. Hole in One, among others.
Nice answer!!! Man.... at least give the guy something better than that! Yeah it was David Sierra.... best known as.... The Cuban Assassin! Your answer was like saying The Masked Superstar was Bill Eadie rather than The Repo Man or Demolition Axe!!
Umm.....Hair Vs Hair with a masked man???? How does that make any sense?

@funkyflashman Pretty sure Top Gun lost his mask in the match.

@mamacornettesmoney He (Top Gun) would wrestle as a jobber in WCW in the mid-1990's.

Didn't David Sierra wrestle in Florida as The Saint and the Cuban Assassin? He was billed from Portland, OR...
Fruth37 3 years ago
@Fruth37 Yes, he was both the Saint and the Cuban Assassin in Fla. Had several masked identities in PNW area too.

Actually it was Sandy Barr, then years and years later Frank.
502master 3 years ago
Problem is, Barry didn't want to do it anymore. So Sandy Barr bought the promotion.
