It hurts for awhile after.. you cant move it & it gets really swollen.. Do your therapy it really actually helps you, A LOT! I torn my acl playing soccer & I have 2 screws in my knee.. I didnt really do my therapy & Im not the same anymore...So do it for you. Try to wear a knee brace it helps a lot & good luck to the ones that are gonna get it soon.

I have one question when i first tore it I could blow I out and be fine in like 20 minute but now I'm dislocating it and I have to literally pop it into place? Does that happen with acl tears or did I do something more?

I honestly didn't think i'd have a result after I typed the operation I had but here I am. Unfortunately I recieved the added bonus of a post operative infection. The knee is sound however I wish I had the option of having this man performing the operation!

oh gosh. if the doctor had done that knee bending thing while I was awake, I would have screamed! I have a torn ACL and I have to have surgery in a couple weeks. It seems like the doctors treat the skin so rough... My skin is delicate ahah :3

15 yrs old and got my ACL torn in the football game. Now I would have to live with screws in my bones forever? o_0

If u get stuff from your soft tissue, aren't you able to go back to sports in 4 months, and does anyone know how it feels to be put asleep because i dont want to die!!

@jadeyes98 Many variables determine how fast you may return to sports: allograft vs autograft, type of sport, aggressiveness of your physical therapy, and how well your body recovers. Had my ACL done in Dec 06 as a result of a baseball injury; I was playing again by the summer. Don't sweat being anesthetized. In my case, the anesthesiologist put a mask over my face, he told me to count backward from ten, by seven I was out. I did not feel a thing.

I had the exact same surgery on my knee a little over a year ago and it still gives me shivers watching this, luckily my knee doesn't even bug me anymore and I'm able to play bball fine.

Yea this happened to me, I got wasted on halloween and torn my acl and lateral meniscus as well. Im having this surgery in 3 weeks, im nervous

yea this sucked. My Acl and lateral meniscus was torn and I had the allograft sucks. haha
