it's definately a killswitch (or at least modified to be a button instead). i have a killswitch on one of my guitars and that is how it sounds. i'm nowhere close to Bucket's skill level tho (nor is anyone for that matter)

he uses a kill switch that he installed on his guitar himself. the sound is constant until he pushes the switch, which "kills" the sound and creates silence. thats basically it.

its pretty easy to do,, all u need is a momentary push to make switch, then connect that to the hot and earth wires on your guitar jack input socket, then remove a tone pot and stick the kill switch in its place,, then everytime the switch is pressed it will make a connection between the hot and earth wires in your guitar jack socket and it instantly kills the signal,, and when u take ur finger off it remakes the signal..
