Obi should have force-pushed Anikin into the lava ; would have saved countless lives. When Obi-wan learned to communicate with the dead, in exile, think he talked to Padme' on those long, lonely desert nights? When he closed his eyes, with a smile, in the final battle with Vader, do you think he was thinking "I'm coming to be with you, Padme' "? Padme' - "there is still some good in him", what 5% good 95% bad? Was she cuckold over a mass murderer of younglings, even in death? Maybe...maybe not.

Could it be that the Midichlorean-rich Anikin , honed his Mind Trick talents on the not-so-weak-minded Padme' , maybe to steal some tail from Obi-wan? To take away from the man he was so jealous of, all the way through all 6 episodes? He always wanted what Obi-wan had; he always talked about it, even in Epi. IV. Obidala is not far fetched, its an affair of the heart, that is actually in the dogma. Screw the hologram of padme' and Ani at the end-that was added later. Anikin sucks, always will.

Padme momentarily lost the good sense she had in AOTC when she told Anakin she loved him AND when she all of a sudden agreed to marry him. For a woman so adamantly involved in politics, and someone who was strongly set against getting married to a Jedi, what changed? I'm sorry, but Anakin/Padme is the ridiculous pairing of science fiction, not Obi-Wan/Padme. At least Obi-Wan was a selfless person, not some whiny brat like little Ani.

Anakin was all about himself and what he could do to 'save' Padme. The worst was when she told him in ROTS that all she wanted was his love and he went all car salesman on her and told her that love couldn't save her, only his new powers could do that..."OMFG RLLY?! I remember in the episode 1, little Ani was a child, I distinctly remember between the epi 1, and epi 2, when no one knew the story but Lucas, The chemistry between Obi and Padme' , left it up in the air, that Obi and Padme' might get together, hence the obvious jealousy Ani always showed. Lucas played it down when the movies came out. Anikin is a joke, and ruins star wars, because he is so insignificant of a person, affable, vile, yet all of star wars is about him - ironic.
