  • I use two descenders, one rope lock. Faster, safer and quicker.

  • I like to use a set of fours to transfer anchors.

  • What do Canadians use for a back-up device? It looks a lot like this guy is using a hand ascender.

    Canadians use either ASAP or Shunt for backup, unfortunately our governing body required ANSI or CSA approved gear, so neither are legal for canadians to actually use at work. People still use them, but if there is ever an accident, insurance could not be claimed due to using non-approved gear. The only ones we are insured to use are the DBI or PMI Rope grabs unfortunately.
