I was actually blessed enough to meet him once after he somewhat retired from TV & films, though I don't think you ever fully retire from it. As we spoke, he mentioned how he liked his peace & quiet; ability to live outside the limelight but he didn't mind the occasional fan stopping by to give him a hug or shake his hand. (I cried right there like a child when I heard it)... I hope he's still living happily at home.
