Some tuners will ride shotgun while you drive and make adjustments on the street. Dyno tuning is tyhe more controlled way of doing it...on the rollers in the shop. Some tuners will even sell you a generic tune that is supposed to work on all cars 'like yours'. Avoid those at all costs.
