I'm sorry you missed the joke.

Remember the old 'two bits four bits six bits a dollar' chant? A 'bit' back in revolutionary days was worth 12.5 cents, so 'two bits' would be a quarter.

Also, in the classic song 'King of the Road', in the chorus line about an 'eight by 12 four bit room' and earlier the line is 'rooms to rent, 50 cents'... same thing applies.
