So I think your all making it seems like helium is stronger than it really is. It takes roughly 3,500 standard sized balloons to lift roughly 30-40 pounds that volume itself is isane the size of the baloon/baloons would be huge. It would be impossible to miss.

You obviously havent. The part of magic that amuses people is the surprise at the end. Would you have preferred it if he bungee jumped off the ledge instead? The reason me and you are here right now arguing through comments is because neither of us are nearly as good as the great David Blaine.
