And they're not "playing soldiers", they're the Keepers of Tradition. A&M is full of traditions, and one of those is Senior Boots. We are proud of our background, and have every right to be so.

You missed the point. I didn't say all people in the corps become soldiers, but 30% of them do! And during WW2 A&M provided more officers for the army than any of the service academies, and we currently have more flag officers in the military than any other school. My point is that there are a lot of aggies in the military right now, and it's definitely not pretend.

The seniors in the Corps wear Senior Boots, it's not just the Band. When you've been through 3 years of the Corps, the next year you get to wear your Senior Boots. It's an honor, and something you have to earn. It goes way back to Ol' Army days.

Even though i was born and raised an aggie i was always open to other schools.especially UT. and my family has been supported and hasnt pushed a&m at all.i like Ut a lot, i mean its a wonderful school and has great teams.but...a&m NEVER ceases to amaze me with all the student spirit, traditions,and faith.

well, obviously the overall record is in t.u.'s favor, Texas A&M was a all military school until the 1960's, now if you compare the records since that year, it is very close (I believe 2-4 games) as far as national championships (in football) your 4 to our 1, should be 2, doesn't really have anything to do with a yearly rivalry game. There have obviously been times when t.u. and A&M have upsets on one another. Like in 1998 when t.u. beat A&M, although A&M still went on to win the Big 12.
