@samantha34ize Just thought I would enlighten you to two things.

1) Radiotherapy will not kill you, it is controlled, yes there are side effects, but no, they are not that serious and the more serious of them are extremely rare. Even so, it would not kill you.

2) There is no such thing as Thyroid Kidney Cancer. Your Thyroid is near your Trachea and Larynx (Voice Box) and your kidneys, well, if anyone's kidney's are that far up?! They should already be seeing a Doctor.

when i had mine done to my head, i could see the beam coming through my eyelids. it was almost like a translucent aqua color. very strange, and uncomfortable experience.

this ain't an MRI, MRI uses magnetis and the magnetic spin on hydrogen to image the body, not x-rays

its not like an mri at all. and its much shorter. with an mri you have to wear earplugs because it is so loud, with a catscan this is not the case

My son had one the other day - had to drink the barium sulfate compound. He didn't like that at all.

I had to stand in there next to him so he wasn't scared (it's a loud machine).

My gamma ray dosage for the year has increased greatly now...had a lead apron on though.

Sometimes they use the contrast, which is like a dye they inject. It does sting. Ouch!
