okay, cool demos... im going to get mine friday and I wanted to see helpful it would be creating my logo for my new business, this really helped a lot thanks ^_^
Depends what you want to do. If you want to draw you gotta know how to draw first. If you want to photoshop photos then you don't need a tablet unless you're getting really creative! :-)
How durable are they? I wanna get one but I have a shared computer so my stuff gets a little roughed up by family members. Controllers, webcam, headphones, ect. I even had a JamStudio tablet a long time ago but my brother broke it since he didn't like how much space it took up and shoved it off the desk.
so if you were to touch the tablet with your finger, would it still make a mark if you were drawing or something? or is it just the pen that makes marks?
Question, what about using the pen to edit written documents, like in MS Word. Can you use it for that function? Kind of like the way you would write notes and highlight a hard paper copy?
i got one, and i love it!! ^¬^ its so fun to use, and surprisingly easy!! i still need to practice before i can draw properly, but i'm fine with drawing cartoons so far XD
are the artistic results better and possibly easier to get than drawing on paper?? also how easy is it to create textures, hair, shine etc. on the tablet??
Well photoshop has plenty of nice brushes, so you get some really good results. Remember that the pen is merely a controlling device - it's just taking place of the mouse.
I just found out that if you mess with the pressure of the pen you get the slight and then strong paintings, about half of the slider works fine but requires harder pressure if you move it more to the right (firm) I found mine working well more to the left but not to the very left about one more to the left from middle of slider :)
I aspire to be a graphic designer and this tool seems like the thing for me, its much much cheaper than the other brands I've looked at and its seems to be just as good, if not better. Thanks for the video :)
mine is september 12th :/ i hope it can make my digital art better!! U found it at bestbuy for 60?! Wow!!! Im probably getting mine at the Apple store for $70!
that's the bamboo fun, the bamboo (just bamboo) is cheaper and you can get it cheaper if you order it online, Amazon would be a good site :) , they have everything cheap and they are secured :)
this is bascially the same thing as the fun, only bamboo fun comes in different colors, has a useless mouse, and a few extra programs like photoshop...
oh, something else? dose this "pen" have a second end? kinda like the others? or dose it have just one tip you draw with? if you seen other wacoms they have doubled tips. so yeah...just wondering.
Nice review, I had already put an order on amazon for one when I watched your review.
This is my first tablet, and I am buying it mainly for photoshop drawing and rendering. Based on all the glowing reviews, and the reasonable price of $62.00 with free shipping I decided to give it a shot.
the final review hahaa i just watched review 2 it was a circus! :P i had a quick question ever point on the screen is a point on the pade with that being said to work in a smaller space using the full pad i would just zoom in ? right (in photoshop mag glass i mean)
I was wondering, can you select a small space of the screen to work on using the whole pad without zooming out? I always wish I could use my tablet to work on a small region of the screen more accurately.
You are a funny guy :) And you reviews realllyy helped me out i was looking for something like these reviews, because i want to buy a tablet but i wanted to check out this bamboo, so after seeing your vids about it i'm sure to buy one :)
mine came with Artrage 2.5 and to tell you the truth, if you are doing a drawing/painting from scrath, Artrage is great software. Ink, paint, chalks, pencil, crayon,..all brushes, palet knife,..you can set the sizes..use stencils,.and make your own stencils..
Answer #1- No, this isn't the same technology that you would find in a trackpad on a laptop. The pen and pad have some sort of connection between them that makes it so only the pen will work.
What is the difference between this Bamboo tablet and the Bamboo Fun besides the price? It seems this is actually cheaper, i was just wondering if it was the 'lesser tablet'
hey just before i ask my Q. i wanted to say that i really like your videos!ok do you know if the bamboo fun has all the fetures the bamboo does?and does the bamboo come with Photoshop Elements like the bamboo fun does?
the bamboo only has 512 levels of Pressure Sensitivity on the pen and no software or mouse included. the bamboo fun has 512 levels of Pressure on the Pen & Eraser and is bundled with Photoshop Elements 5.0, Nik Color Efex Pro 2 GE, Painter Essentials 3, and a mouse. it also comes in two sizes and four colors.
I just baught the Wacom Bamboo Regular...I tried to use it on photoshop but the strokes wont work in the same way yours does. it wont change thicknesses when i draw. is there something im doing wrong?
In the Pen Tablet Properties menu there is a scroll bar labeled "Tip Feel". Set that right at the middle. Did you install the driver software correctly?
Hmm.. first I would tweak the Tip Feel setting a little. Perhaps its not sensitive enough to your touch. If that doesn't work I would uninstall the pen software then reinstall and if that doesn't work I would consider either returning your tablet for a new one or contact Wacom customer service. If you purchased it directly from them they have a excellent return policy. If not then they may be able to provide you with better information. I hope it all turns out well.
you must set your brushes in Photoshop to be pressure responsive. Go to your brushes palette and make sure Shape dynamics and Other dynamics are checked. Click the dropdown menu in Control for each of these and choose Pen Pressure. You can then lock these attributes (from the little lock icon) so that they apply for each new brush you select.
Anyway, thanks for the overview, I was going to buy this tablet and I needed a clue :D It looks like an excellent tool so far, especially for its price
Any drawing program can utilize this tablet. I'm using Photoshop here but you can use Paint, Illustrator, or any other program that has a drawing utility. This particular tablet does not come with any software other than the proper drivers
