The story goes that Dylan more or less stole a Warhol silkscreen (of Marilyn?) right after this "screen test". When he was ready to leave, he grabbed the painting, muttering a few words like "can I take this?", as he walked out with it. Warhol was reportedly peeved but too docile to protest.

@MowgliX No, it's Heroin by The Velvet Underground, written by Lou Reed in 1964, and played by Lou Reed, John Cale, Stirling Morrison and Moe Tucker. Released in 1967 on the Velvet Underground's first album. The Doors and Jim Morrison had nothing to do with it, except that the song is featured in the 1991 Oliver Stone movie, The Doors.
they chose the velvet underground track because it came off the album andy warhol produced, "the velvet underground and nico." it fits the mood of the video.
I have no idea what Dylan's intentions were, whether he was trying diligently to save her or he just wanted to bang her. If he wants to be secretive about it, that's his business.
If Dylan said that he thought maybe he knew people who might have been involved with her, he wasn't being forthright. That Edie had a love affair with Dylan's best friend Bob Neuwirth is a hard fact. Maybe Dylan was embarrassed by what happened, which would put him a notch above Warhol, who apparently had no shame whatsoever.
@bathroommonkey76 Not at all. Actually that's from Bob Dylan. He used the rather large print Two Elvises as a dart board. But I still don't know why the Bobby Dylan screen test is accompanied by Lou Reed song.

@ZenPapageno god knows what happened in that screentest, apparently that factory girl movie wasnt very accurate.. damn look at his guy's fucking nails..
@Frequent2001 Dylan had come out against the simplistic folksinger beliefs, but he saw the Factory people as Hollywood villains, which was simplistic. If he had gotten to know them and found the good ones, there could have been connections in the arts, jobs for her. She could have freed herself from Dad and Warhol. At least Dylan cared. Warhol said he wanted to film her committing suicide. Considering how fucked-up she was in her last performances, we'd say that he did just that.

Thanks for the upload. Also to all those discussing this, it is known that Bob Dylan didnt like Andy Warhol because of the way he treated people (Like Edie sedgwick). I think he only did this because he was friends with Edie. Thats was my assumption over the screen tests.
Bob took one of Warhol's Marilyn prints and then later traded it for a couch...so they say

Thanks for the upload. Also to all those discussing this, it is known that Bob Dylan didnt like Andy Warhol because of the way he treated people (Like Edie sedgwick). I think he only did this because he was friends with Edie. Thats was my assumption over the screen tests.
