  • Great shots, enjoyed watching this! I have moved to Clearwater near old coachman/SR 590 and I am hearing/seeing this train quite a bit more often now! I like seeing all the different maneuvers it makes, and I like watching trains in general. Thank you for this.

  • @Yoshiisland12345 Thank you.

  • Revisited this one, great catch, Ken! Is the lumber business on O702 history?

  • @brickbuilder711 Thanks, Tolga. I believe so. I don't recall seeing any lumber on O702 / O701 since 2007 or 2008.

  • very cool...I used to live in this neighborhood, watched/heard the train going by all the time...memories~ thanks for uploadin this!

  • @Yoshiisland12345 Thank you for watching.

  • It used to be just after 5pm, Mon-Thurs. But with the recent track work on the Clearwater Sub I'm not sure.

  • around what time does this train come

  • Gosh i feel like such a child for what i said below!

Even though this is one of oldest videos you have its worth to watch over and over again!

  • Thank you.

  • really nice catch

i usually go up to tampa to railfanbut i really dont see a lot of trains on that line to st. pete

the only train i see in my town are one from sem gulf in fort myers

  • As far as I know there are only two trains a day(Sun-Thurs)in Clearwater FL. One in the afternoon goes to Tampa and one returns in the evening. But in the 70's and early 80's Clearwater was a hot spot for train watching.

  • thanks for the information

my dad remembers the good days when there were a lot of trains in ft. myers and st. pete clearwater
