Every time I watch this scene, I half expect one of the writers for the show to jump in front of the camera and start screaming at the viewer like Jack Nicholson in "A Few Good Men", ranting about how the viewer rises and sleeps under the blanket of the entertainment that the writer provides, and then questions the manner in which he provides it, and that he doesn't give a damn what the viewer thinks they are entitled to.

Then the show goes on like nothing happened.
