This is awesome - thanks for posting it! I have never seen some of this rare footage of the vintage routines! I honestly think some of it IS harder than what is done now. Superb. And I love that Agnes is still able to do gymnastics. I am 39 and still keep it up - she is an inspiration.
That's Natalia Shaposhnikova (USSR) dismounting the uneven bars during the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. That dismount was actually quite common at that time. xxx
Thanks again so much for posting this wonderful historical gymnastics documentary! I love it! Agnes was 35 when she won Olympic gold medals in 1956-Chusovitina just may match or break her record as far as oldest gymnast at an Olympics one day. :)

i don't think it got easier or harder, it changed, its different tahts all.
Gymanstics is such an amazing sport!
