  • EPIC!!!

  • wierd...th song to the matrix

  • lol this is good

  • whats the deal with that web site? i went to check it out, nothing came up...

  • sweet

  • love this video!! Could you maybe check out mine? That would be awesome!

  • pretty good the lightsabers were good fighting was pretty good didn't look natural at times 4/5 stars

also if you get a chance can you check out my star wars videos

  • too much hard work to create 3 light sabers........great work

  • very nice work

  • how do you do that lightsaber effect where one lightsaber collides with another?

  • type in lsmaker on google then go to first option its free fast and easy look at my sample video on my profile to see how it looks

  • do u need a greenscreen? please type your answer on one of my videos.

  • Nice!

  • Good fight but there were points where they could have easily killed one another.

  • great! the rain raises the atmosphere!^^

  • lol rain always does

  • Nice job!

  • LOl the website does not work! it says it is under construction

  • your supposed to use 1 lightsaber for offense and the other for defense or else your complete left open(arms)

I know lightsabers don't exist but it's the same if you have two katanas.

  • very good, although the lightsaber handling could have been more fluid, it was over all very good

  • was kinda tricky to figure out who was who... awesome though!

  • Wow perfect

  • no he didint the opponent lightsaber is blue i think

  • oh god the matrix....lol

  • Awesome! But why did he throw the light saber back to his opponent? lol

  • cool how it was in the rain.

  • Ive heard its easy to make but take a lot of time to do.

  • wow, that must have taken a LOT of time to edit.

  • very good very good

  • hehehe! cool! nice one!!

  • and thats whatll happen in 9 in the evening

  • wow, nice movement!

  • OMFG i have this same program FRAME BY FRAME D:< I KNO this took a very long time maybe a week hour by hour

  • The lightsaber glows look very orginal trilogy starwars(vhs) esp the blue one like luke when he gets his fathers ( not critizing just thought that when watching)

  • Man how did you do this this was awesome

  • this is really good, great coriogrify(however u spell it)

  • I don't think so, but thanks anyways :)

  • awsome fight man ,dude im new to this stuff but know how to make a light saber, what do you do for the part when they hit each other the flash

  • you insert an additive lens flare :)

  • lol? ok... dudes.. seriousy..

what the fuck did i just watch? ah god damnit, this sucks so hard that i dont know what to say..

  • you just something, so you obviously do. Constructive critisism.

  • omg that was freaking awesome! good job!

  • sith jedi vs jedi ??????

  • one fo the jedi betrayed his master :D

  • red and green vs blue. May look like it's not, but it is.

  • very nice!only thing is i noticed that its a bit slower than teh normal starwars maybe put a little bit of fast motion on

  • We'd never speed up our footage, because the result always looks like crap, or Benny Hill. We're making new ones now though, and the speed in those is a lot better.

Thanks for your comment though, highly appreciated.

  • nice job on this, im trying to get a hang of the whole laight sabor making my self

    hopefully i get good soon

  • thanks, mate. If you go to my webpage, I have a quite extensive tutorial on how to get good at making lightsabers. (not laight sabors)

  • awsome awsom awsome but at 1:13 his light saber shou;da turned off cuz they turn off when they fall

  • Actually, totaly4ever, the auto-shutoff is just a safety feature on many lightsabers. An exception would be Darth Vader's, because he threw his saber at Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi (and it didn't shut off).

  • depends. If you notice, some sabers don't actually have buttons, meaning they are turned on via other means. There's some discussion as to whether or not the saber shuts off if one releases said button, but that's also personal preference. And, let's not forget that every single star wars game with lightsabers let's you throw them around, and they never shut off. So, yeah, I guess it's kinda random.

  • plus sabers can also be turned on and off by use of the force

maybe the lightsaber has like a auto lock to prevent button being pushed to sut off saber

    - imagine darth maul or obi-ani twriling their swords at an oponent and they accidently push button and it flips off while dueling that would suck..especially in a blocking or killing move

  • Very cool fight scene ^_^

  • thanks :)

  • read the description. goto my webpage. Learn to do it yourself.

  • yo dude you guys were incredible!!! im actually doing a school project with this type of LS effect but im not really good at this type of things... i really could use your help... could you help me edit my vid, i could send it to you via email... plzzzzzzzzzzz i would thank you a lot and tell my friends to rate your vid and to put good coments!!!

  • while I can't do the effects for you, I highly recommend you to check out my website. It has tutorials that will teach you exactly how to do this effect, and even with the Adobe After Effects trial, you will know how easy it is, and have time to do it.

  • ok whats the address of your web page?

  • I can't post url's here, but its in my channel page.

    and if this works: aurellia(DOT)net

  • thx

  • A little better coreography and you could sedll it :D

    five stars

  • sell*

  • Take my edvice and do another like this:Make the green lightsaber guy work with the blue one against the red one. They will kill the red one and then the green or blue ones (your choise)lightsaber turn red and in a big action scene they will fight and then the winner (again your choise)will walk away in a dramatic way.Oh and add some Cool fight music.

  • Principal photography starts next week, and will be the same three people. We were going to be 4, but one had to cancel, due to work. Expect a pretty damn nice video like this by June. (post production will take ages)

  • Let me now exactly when you put it there. And please tell me how to get that lightsaber effect into a video and if I need some programme please tell me where to get it.Thanks.:-D

  • It's good, but the saber colors don't really make sense. Eh, I'm a nerd.

  • blue, green and red doesn't make sense?

  • It's not that, it's just that the green and blue are usually "Jedi" and the red are usually "Sith."

But I'm just a nerd, so yeah. haha

    =P

  • See what you mean, but who said anything about being Jedi or sith?, huh? ;)

  • u did a gd job on this.... fun to watch if yr boared. i like it, u do a better job than most lol

  • thanks mate :)

  • haha just that usually whenever when i get hit by a lightsaber it hurts alot, and ive died 4-5 times cuz of it =o

    still nice vid,5/5

  • youd think that someone would be dead if they were hit with a lightsaber quite a few times...

  • What's your point? :P

  • What program did u use

  • Look in the description, lazy.

  • hey man pretty good job! just6 one question... how did you do the effect when the lightabers collide against each other like the spark thingy or whatever?

  • it's commonly known as an srtifact-free lens flare.

  • Not bad, except for how blue-user should've just killed everyone at 0:59 instead of punching them in the stomach. Oh well, sacrifices for the sake of drama. =)

  • THAT. WAS. AWESOME.

As good as Ryan Wieber, really.

  • I'm flattered, really, but just wait until June 1st. I'll be competing against Ryan, so then we'll see who's the best ;)

  • not bad but i cant see any reflections on the ground . How much time did you spend ?

  • No, there's no reflections, I know. I made it 2 years ago, and was shot in one day. Post production took me about 2 weeks.

  • great vid

  • Really great job!!! Everything was sweet!!! Were those fx sabers or special effects?

  • Visual effects, all the way. For more stuff, go to my site.

  • wow... just.. wow.. well done

  • thank you :)

  • love the sabers

  • Go watch Ryan Weiber's videos. He has perfected this effect. Even cuts off limbs in his latest version.

Cool huh how easy it is to make this effect that probably costed several thousand dollars to make back in 1978. Technology sure is cool!

  • Ryan Wieber (not WEIBER) was the reason I got into this industry. I'm far better at the effect now than I was 2 years ago :)

  • kess i gampræva laga du sverdan? fant linken via

    klikk

  • Om du venter litt, får du vite alt om det. Lanserer en webside med video-tutorials snart :)

  • supert klipp! fant linken via klikk ;)

  • flotte greier :) se opp for mer klikk-coverage fra meg. Skal snart lansere en side som lærer folk og fe å lage slike effekter. Siden kommer i 2 versjoner; norsk og engelsk.

  • what software did you use for the lightsabers

  • Adobe after effects and premiere pro.

  • what software did you use for this video??

  • Adobe only.

I used Adobe Premiere Pro 1 to import the footage, cut it and fill in music and sound.

I used Adobe After Effects 6.5 to do the color grading, visual effects and compositing.

  • Thanks, man :) We didn't actually plan for the rain to be there, but once we saw the footage, it was obvious that it was perfect. Suited along with the matrix soundtrack gave us that feel we wanted all along :)

  • awesome !!!!!

  • Thank you :)

  • Awesome! Giant blades though;)

  • well, it was done in 2005, back in the day when I had the crazy idea that the blades should be as thick as the hilts, and when I went back to re-edit(screwed up colours in the original) all I could do was so much. I ended up feathering them a bit more than usual to make them a tad thinner.
