It's all in the pause button... they move so quickly. I believe that is why we do not see them too much with the naked eye. I also believe that some cam's are not as good at capturing them. I'm guessing the higher the tech the better.
I am not sure about the mist in this video, but the face is definitely there. It is not an hoax; even if the black shadow is. I am getting good at using my pause button. I have found things that the people posting have missed themselves.
If you know what you are looking for; you can see, at about 0:12- 0:13; something very quickly shot up from the bottom left corner to the right. learn to use your pause button and you will see a face. Oh and smoke grenade for the haze effect. Manipulate the lightings from a screen shot using photo shop or gimp and you can see the form and see what i mean. In one of the frames you can see a hand and foot, the ratio of space between the two are too short for it to be that of a properly proportioned human adult or child.

In watching it over and over (computer screens are HD here), whatever garment they are wearing for this prank foolishly has a light-colored liner. It is clearly visible and evident. Unless the prisoners were given lined capes, this is very much a poor fake.
The problem I have is that when the figure turns to head away from the camera, I "see" a hand and what appears to be the bottom of a shoe, such as would show if one were wearing a cape of sorts that covered the head, and if the subject made an abrupt about-face and retreated. Another thing, the dust motes act in unison with the same entrance/exit. I should not have deleted it on the DVR or I would watch it frame by frame in 60" HD.
That is a very narrow gang plank with only one way up or down. It was probably one of the guys that worked there. That is what an employee told me anyway. Eastern State had the first dog imprisoned there. Pep was sent there for killing the governor's cat. He lived 10 years there.
I doubt it is faked, but there are at least ten different normal explanations that could be given for what is seen. We just tend to see humanistic shapes and go from there.

The way I see it, the speed at which the object comes forward is normal to the camera but the speed at which it moves back is way too fast

If they can't 100% verify that no other person was in the prison, this can very easily be faked by "pause-playing" the camera which has been known to have been caused by pranksters who seem to get past Ghost Hunter's early expedition security.

If nobody was inside and Ghost Hunters didn't do the pause-play prank (they wouldn't), then there is no explanation and the likeliness that it is a spirit is there.
The other thing to notice is that the mass isn't 100% solid, there is a misty, blurriness to the edges, something you wouldn't see if it was someone under a blanket

This is actually the part of the episode where they're trying to copy and debunk footage that they shot earlier. What you see here is a crew member with a tarp over his head running up to the camera and then running back down the hall way. Again, this is video where they try to recreate what they saw. NOT actual ghost footage.
Before I ever watched all these debunking videos, I was extremely skeptical about the show for this one reason: If I was in a house where I witnessed first-hand paranormal experiences, and they were in dark places and I didn't get a good shot, I would set up 100 cameras for two weeks and record non-stop. But, these guys, true to form, "Well, let's chaulk it up to a ghost and get outta here! Are you buying dinner, or am I?" True hunters stalk prey for weeks, until they ACTUALLY BAG THEIR PREY!
I am a little speculative of this evidence because I can't tell if it is increasing in size because it is manifesting, or because it is running toward the camera and then dashing away. This could have been easily pulled off by a person running towards the camera (Brian was being a baby about being able to run in the dark) but if it is actually manifesting I don't know. I guess we'll have to investigate Eastern State for ourselves to find out...
It is in my opinion this was Brian, acting 100% on his own. The reason I feel this is Brian and no one else is the fact not only did he make more than enough mistakes the whole season but he also ran away from a sighting earlier that day. The worst part HE is the one to recreate this. He doesn't even put the black sheet over himself correctly and then walks oddly to make it appear difficult to run. The one fact that remains is that the figure if about waist high, move rather quickly, and doesn't seem to turn around. It just runs at the camera and bam, it's running the other way.

I used to be huge fan of TAPS, but I no longer am. You can clearly see white shoes and a pant leg on the left side of the 'apparition" as it turns to run back down the corridor. I understand that a great deal of what they find may be authentic "evidence" and that they need to sometimes "elaborate" to keep the show the interesting, but classifying this as authentic paranormal activity to up the ratings of their television show gives the science of paranormal research a very bad name.

If nobody was inside and Ghost Hunters didn't do the pause-play prank (they wouldn't), then there is no explanation and the likeliness that it is a spirit is there.
The other thing to notice is that the mass isn't 100% solid, there is a misty, blurriness to the edges, something you wouldn't see if it was someone under a blanket

This is actually the part of the episode where they're trying to copy and debunk footage that they shot earlier. What you see here is a crew member with a tarp over his head running up to the camera and then running back down the hall way. Again, this is video where they try to recreate what they saw. NOT actual ghost footage.

Before I ever watched all these debunking videos, I was extremely skeptical about the show for this one reason: If I was in a house where I witnessed first-hand paranormal experiences, and they were in dark places and I didn't get a good shot, I would set up 100 cameras for two weeks and record non-stop. But, these guys, true to form, "Well, let's chaulk it up to a ghost and get outta here! Are you buying dinner, or am I?" True hunters stalk prey for weeks, until they ACTUALLY BAG THEIR PREY!

I am a little speculative of this evidence because I can't tell if it is increasing in size because it is manifesting, or because it is running toward the camera and then dashing away. This could have been easily pulled off by a person running towards the camera (Brian was being a baby about being able to run in the dark) but if it is actually manifesting I don't know. I guess we'll have to investigate Eastern State for ourselves to find out...

It is in my opinion this was Brian, acting 100% on his own. The reason I feel this is Brian and no one else is the fact not only did he make more than enough mistakes the whole season but he also ran away from a sighting earlier that day. The worst part HE is the one to recreate this. He doesn't even put the black sheet over himself correctly and then walks oddly to make it appear difficult to run. That sheet should of been only on his back that way he could of seen where he was going.

Alot of peopel are saying that this is faked, and I see where they are coming at...where you can apparently see a "leg." The one fact that remains is that the figure if about waist high, move rather quickly, and doesn't seem to turn around. It just runs at the camera and bam, it's running the other way.

I've actually seen something sorta like this before. The apparition isn't a man in a shroud, you can tell by the way it doesn't turn but form into itself and runs away. Yeah, it may be a fake...Or we may not be alone. Theres always been unexplained happening...maybe we just got lucky enough to actually capture one of those things..

I have to doubt this one. There is obviously something flapping at the bottom right of the "apparition." I mean, It could be a classic spirit in a shroud, but I am inclined to doubt it. I think someone who is very familiar with the building walked backward under a heavy cloth or tarp, and then darted forward. That flapping part at the bottom right is just too suspect to give this one any real credence. I can't believe Ghost Hunters didn't throw the image out.

I used to be huge fan of TAPS, but I no longer am. You can clearly see white shoes and a pant leg on the left side of the 'apparition" as it turns to run back down the corridor. I understand that a great deal of what they find may be authentic "evidence" and that they need to sometimes "elaborate" to keep the show the interesting, but classifying this as authentic paranormal activity to up the ratings of their television show gives the science of paranormal research a very bad name.
