@grassingtongreen imo on ferrari's deathstreak. the last good ferrari was the F40 since it's the last car to be commission by enzo himself. after that the company just went :P
@thrax777 IMHO the best contemporary Ferrari designs came out of the 1980s. The 308/328 in their GTB QV and GTS QV variation and definitely the (back then) futuristic rear-and-side styling of the Testarossa being top on my list
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old DOHC Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
It's all because of the EU gayness with all their security norms that makes old design impossible. Any car designer will tell you that his work, today, thanks to politically correct rancid anti-motors anti-cars vegetarian old spinsters, is 90+% trying to comply EU norms.
@grassingtongreen I wouldn't call Testarossa ugly, even though i personally don't like it (too flashy, too 80s, too Miami Vice). But it was designed by Fioravanti, the same guy who did 308, Daytona, BB, 400... In fact I think it was the last Ferrari he designed before leaving Pininfarina (or was it the F40?)

imagine if you own this car in your garage, even by staring at it, you can feel the glory... look at that design cues..marvelous car this is.. Magnetti Marelli Batteries, Veglia Instruments, Perfect Italian masterpiece.
This and the F40 are my favorite Ferraris of the 70s and the 80s, but modern Ferraris are not bad by any standard if you see 575 SuperAmerica in person you will be stunned.
I much prefer the ferrari P45. the enzo (which is ugly) redesigned by the worlds best designer. who died :( This car is still cool though. old cars have a much swoopier shape than modern cars, which pisses me off
When I saw a Ferrari Boxer like this on on the March 1978 Road & Track Magazine it motivated me to be someone so I could afford one. I have a chance to drive one in 1994. Beautiful to look at, horrible to drive.
The one I drove was a 1981 model. The driving position was awkward and the gear shift a little stiff, the car's owner told me this was normal at low speeds. AC did not blow very cold. Only other Ferrari I sat in was the Daytona which came before this one and a much better street car. This 512BB is almost a racing car.
Reasonably good photography. Too bad about the annoying soundtrack, but it eventually gives way to the gorgeous strains of the Boxer engine. What a lovely car!

You have to admit, this music sounds like a cheezy 80's porn. I keep expecting Amber Lynn to walk in any moment.

@RacerXGTO To me the synth solo sounds very good. Pure FM synthesis (DX7) type sound. I am more of a Chick Corea fan than porn. Sorry.

You're right. Modern cars (designed by computer) don't have the slender purity of classics like this 512BB.
