We found this out at my house about fruit flies, too, which we get in swarms in Seattle every year. Yuck. Take a wine bottle with a little wine left at the bottom, then roll a piece of paper up into a cone shape, with just a little opening at the bottom. Stick the tiny end into the bottle, set it out away from any food, and watch the little fuckers fly in, get drunk, and they can't fly out. Then they die. ^__^
if that is true u could construct a effective gnat trap using swavay bola whine huh?
