It is interesting to see a South American country escaping from the socialist cancer. The new president has a great challenge, not only to rebuild the nation, but also to implement the right infrastructure to fix the damage made by socialism. For example, crime absolutely out of control, loss of the sense of private property, restrictions on people's freedom, as well as a degraded health system and poor quality socialist education system.
@ufousa69 in chile there's no socialism at all since 1973, the socialist party in chile and every government that came after pinochet's dictatorship, governed with ultra liberal policies under pinochet's laws, maintaining the exact same degraded education and health that came from pinochet. He never built one single hospital in 17 years....
@bonfirejovi is it helpful to poor people to live in a prosperous country?? it's just an image of how well are doing all the powerful people in this country. Remember that chile is one of the more inequal countries in the world! And I hope one day Argentina is becoming socialist because right now they are very far away of becoming it, as well as Venezuela or Ecuador or Cuba
3. The USA does not control its southern border, even though border control is a fundamental right of any sovereign nation. But, powerful internal interests in the USA benefit by using illegal foreign workers to suppress wages, provide votes for the Demo-Socialist party, justify empire-building in social services, and bust unions.
2. A combination of poor mortgage industry oversight, negligent enforcement of regulations, Federal Reserve over-stimulation, & socialist-engineering-legislation by Bill Clinton* all caused the worst speculative residential housing bubble since the Florida Land Boom of the1920's. Then, Wall Street jumped in to trade massive bundles of garbage-loan obligations to create a huge shadow banking system that collapsed.
As you rebuild the damaged regions of central Chile, may I share with you some of the policies, laws, & campaigns that have caused a financial & social crisis in the USA that has no precedent since the 1930's?
1. The USA is greatly over-extended in its foreign military campaigns against radical Islam--The total cost of the Iraq & Afghan wars will exceed 3 trillion dollars, including the life cycle costs of veterans' care, equipment replacement, etc.
VIVA CHILE MIERDA....

Greetings President Pinera,
As you rebuild the damaged regions of central Chile, may I share with you some of the policies, laws, & campaigns that have caused a financial & social crisis in the USA that has no precedent since the 1930's?
