  • Dear Mr. Eric Johnson, I will get back with you after I am done worshiping Mr. Allan Holdsworth. Nothing personal. We still love you.

  • tony willIams ! :(

  • THe best drummers are those with jazz background. And oh yeah, AH is playing!

  • 5:52 Drumstick goes flying, casually grabs another without skipping a beat...

  • Man, Chad's china is killer!

  • ..what a twatty lookin guitar,,urgh..

  • @1959child Because image is all that counts, right?

  • Allan, we love you man!!

  • is that bruford?...cool as hell...

  • @synesthesia67 No, Chad Wackerman

  • the scariest player on the planet.. by far !!!..... no one comes close

  • @JOHNNYG99X

    oooh! u kiddin' me !?! :)

  • @JOHNNYG99X I agree..no will come close till long after Allan is gone!!!!! Too complex and technically adept !!!!

  • I'm not worthy, but I feel blessed to have experienced a player like Allan in my lifetime. What days we live in! Let's all be inspired my his genius and strive to play music worthy of these trying times we live in. The world needs us now more than ever. Thanks, Allan, for showing us the way of a true master.

  • @gitardoofus +1

  • Wow. what freaking awesome stage presentation

    hahahahahaha what a joke...

  • @wordauras You're a jackass - and you missed the whole thing. I'm so sorry for you, but you just had to comment and show your ignorance. You don't deserve to carry Allan's gear to the truck. Go see a Kiss concert or something....

  • @gitardoofus Dude,... I don't know what to tell you , the guy gives me a headache. And so would KISS...

  • @wordauras Oh my gosh......go watch your Malmsteen videos.

  • @pazzensutra TAKE THE GAS DUDE , IT'S FASTER....

  • Fantastic music, it's got it all. What sets AH apart isn't just the amazing melodic improvisation technique, it's his ability to develop unique chordal harmonies and progressions. They're rich with detail and structure, giving him a giant pallete of melodic choices for his solos. So many "guitar gods" of today solo over pedal tones or i-IV-V or other simple progressions. Most would be totally lost having to keep up with the changes in any typical AH song - except Greg Howe (Proto-Cosmos)!

  • Scott Henderson and Frank Gambale can hang with Allan way more musically than Howe. But he is very fast and talented.

  • HOLLLLYYYYYY Shredster..@^@

    Awesome video..!! Thanks.!

It's great to see Holdsworth show his super skills.!

I was lucky to see him, Gong and Soft Machine back in the 70's....

  • man this guys so good its unreal, a real talent

  • Allan has that special style No one can copy!

Thanks for the cap and share GlaForge.

  • "Fred" is one of my favorites - Thanks for the post. I saw him play with the late Tony Williams at the Bottom Line in NYC & again in a smaller club, in the 70's. Both shows were awesome! Allan is a superb musician and a genuinely nice person. I would have loved to have seen him with Soft Machine...

  • Troll 2001

  • Hey, hey I was in the front row and gave him a bottle of Stella after he had played this song!

  • UEA 1979 Allan trots off, we buy him a couple of pints at the interval, me thinks he had four in total, then back for the second half...............wow.........

  • I was at the gig and he really was nervous! He can produce this, even when his hands were shaking! Doesn't the first chord just make you feel great? What a sound.

Notice on 5:53 the drum stick falling off and song continues like nothing has happened!
