Yes peer review is a far more accurate assessment of scientific knowledge, but there are many things science clearly 'won't' disprove. Religion for one, mainstream modern science seems to keep away from certain things when it suits. I am also not going to claim to be a shit hot historian archeologist, because I am not. But for there to be ANY 'mystery' to a 600 Million ton structure in the desert is something that defies logic. Apparently, and this is just 1 Pyramid "Kufu's" took 20 years. Now for a structure with an estimated 2.3 million stones with an average weight of 2.5 tons. That comes down to something like a stone cut, transported, shaped and fitted in under 8 minutes, 24/7/365 without a single break for 20 years.

I agree primarily that the absence of evidence is not evidence, but considering that mainstream science is rarely even allowed near these structures makes for even more curiosity.

There are however scientists like Dawkins who evangelize all kinds of personal beliefs about religion, I would agree with you there.

In his book African origins of civilization he has a chapter called the moroccan invasion of west Afrika.
