@boazzaob You do have a great point though I have been observing for 8 years now and there have been many times where there were over a thousand earthquakes on the map. Today there are 158 quakes on the map that's really nothing in comparison and it has been like this for the last few weeks, maybe it's the calm before the storm. I am keeping my eye on Australia it will probably get a really big one soon much like what happened in Japan prior to it's huge quake lots of 5.5 magnitudes and then bam
The proton counts have seemed really high lately...anyone like to comment on this? can anyone explain that in terms of the significance/effects of this and what the actual measurement means? Currently it is: density: 15.4 protons/cm3. I have noticed that some sensitive people (like me) can feel when the xrays and protons are elevated...then we go check the levels on the spaceweater or solarham. at what level/measurment does it count as a "proton event" ?
...quire on the LASCO imager the blue highlighting ???
~is that a measured indication of the plasma (gas/matter X energy) ejection shock wave front or is it a electromagnetic indication of the "coronal boundary layer"
=as much as I have just describe one & the same in a somewhat cumbersome inept fashion ?

thanks - very well done. one question: if you show pics from the sun is it possible to put the size of the earth in these pics - to see how big the sun spots are ?
@dirtyyyminds i am using can studio, i havent been able to work out how to add the size of the earth as a jpeg in a video clip. i have tried many times with no success
@SolarWatcher - try it with camtasia studio 7 or video pad - there you can put pics in videos and you can change the diameter of your pics with zoom ;-))

Anyone noticed the sharp decline in earthquake activity?
boazzaob 2 months ago
@boazzaob Well certain areas have less activity while others are becoming more active such as Russia and Peru.

We are called the apple of God's eye. Very good insight! :-)
Thanks again Solarwatcher...you report more than the "eye" can see, and are used in ways you can't know!

Actualy solar activity is relatively low at the moment as is geospace activity according to NOAA
The first CME you showed will likely not be geoeffective as it was on the east limb and showed no signs of being a halo event.
