Big thanks for quick overview. Using a tripod is helpful for people prone to copy motion of closeups. My difficulty is to watch just parts of the lesson without getting a mild vertigo :)
Hey! Oh you CAN use more than 8 without having to buy more BCF's. I use the BCF in Mackie mode ..... so if click on track 9 in Reaper, the BCF will automatically switch that it sees your faders as 9 - 16 ......and so on. They will quickly adjust themselves. If you click on any track from 1 to 8 again ....... the BCF will quickly move all its faders again so you have tracks 1 - 8.
Hi Booker, loving your setup! I plan on getting a BCF2000 very soon, but i have one question. Can i use more than 8 channels per project? It just means i cant control anymore than 8, right? I kinda want to buy two, so i can have 16 channels lol.
it can only control 8 at a time, but there 4 banks, so just switch the the next 8 channels in your project by switching to the next bank, so the most you can control with this device is 32 channels.
theres 4 banks, you can switch to the next 8 channels of your project by switching to the next bank, you with this controller you can control 32 channels. no need to buy 2 or more unless you are a.) too lazy to push one small button to switch to the next group of channels and b.) if your editing/mixing more than 32 channels, but if thats the case then mackie MCU
Nice video BookerJWood! Surely a help. Are you a DJ, by the way? We appreciate you for posting and including our gear on this video you've made. A lot of thanks! We hope to keep posted for more of your videos! More power!
@behringer Wow! Thanx and I'm honored to have Behringer comment on something I put up!!! As you can see, I'm using the FCB1010 as well. It's an integral part of my audio recording (I'm a recording Guitarist) set up.
Any chance of updated software for the BCF and/or the FCB in the future and for Win 7 ?
How hard is the learning curve with BCF2000 with Reaper? I already have Reaper and plan on buying BCF2000 to use with Reaper.
Just like to know can you use the BCF2000 to toggle off/off rewind/fast foward on your transport window on Reaper?
In your video your using the B midi surf board. Just wanted to know can you do the same thing without the B midi surf board pedal you got and use the BCF2000 instead?
The BCF2000 you can start up in various 'modes' ....... and if you start it up in 'Cubase' mode, and in Reaper under Control Surfaces ..... add 'Mackie Control (dev3,4) ..... works without having to do anything else. This 'mode' has several functions 'set'. Play, Stop, Record ..... and of course each track's Volume, Panning, Mute, Solo is covered.
I use the FCB1010 because I don't want to take my hands of the Guitar but all these functions are working on the BCF2000 as well
when i move the faders in logic they do not move on the bcf, but when i move them on the bcf they do move in logic does anyone know how to fix this????

Well yes, if you automate and let it move when the song plays, it's quite loud. But I tend never to do that anyway.

Hi, thanks for making the video, does it realy make that fader creaking sound when dyanmically moving with the set automation ?? Cheers :)

do you know, if it's possible, that the bcf only controls the tracks visible in the mixer?
Sinuz69 2 years ago
@Sinuz69 Not that I know of .... I have the same problem in Cubase. I try getting around it by putting all 'unimportant' tracks on 9 ->
