  • Short but impressive!!! "WOW" indeed!!!!!!!

    congratulations with this one!!!

  • The first operator to speak with DK1FG was my friend GD3YUM Martin from the Isle of Man.

  • Love it Alan - post more :) Callum, M0MCX.

  • Hello Callum, hope you are well.

I've put another tropo inversion QSO up on my channel, it was shot on the same day as these, I cant understand why I missed this one for so long!?

Anyway, its not as far as this contact was, but he does lower his power to 2W..

  • Alan, george here, how's my old 2m handy performing sir ?? That was a fantastic contact on 10mW !! .. wonder how your FSTV is doing? I've recenty bought 23cm kit .. still to fire up :o) .. best wishes mate .. George :o)

  • Hello George the handie is doing fine thank you. Have had QSO with a station 200 miles away on the 3 watt setting going through the 15 ele boomer, a nice audio report given too! Not much happening on FSTV on 23cms at the mo, hope to soon though.. and thanks for your comment :)

  • Hi george, now I am active on ATV 23cms, and hope to get 2.4Ghz soon, then with luck 10Ghz too.. hope to SEE you sometime.. Regards

  • Nuernberg! :-)

  • That is very good! Well done! It's good to hear someone using QRP. I tend to use just 5 wats but I only have an indoor di-pole so lose loads of gain. Very very nice going. Love your exitement too! Just how I feel after a really good one! IUsing a longwire and just 5watts I worked 2 american stations in the summer! So pleased!

  • Good DX! I think I would have gone "Wow!" too if it had been me! Well done!

    Terry, G0TMX.

  • 700 watts and 50 over S9 to your 0.01 watts! Exciting. Just think how much fun you would have if you raised your transmitter to 1 watt. Randy

  • Hi Randy, I did, I was running 50W most of the time, but because DK1FG (and ON4KHG) were so strong I tried on minimum power. Extraordinary inversion, the best I have seen.

  • Congratulations on this and ON4KHG Alan! Amazing what can be achived on such little power.
