You guys might hate me, but I'll just be honest, I don't like the Burial and Four Tet pieces as much as the Burial ones. Burial's pieces take you on a journey, and paint a beutiful picture of emotion and passion. While these do the same thing, they are more repetitive, the beats aren't as interesting, and the same emotion is not present.
@starwarsguy9 I sort of see what you are saying, there is variation in there though, its just very subtle. I think the apparent repetition in music like this is still moving, the same way repetitions in nature create cycles which lead to all sorts of wonderment.
@thegarbeen, oh I agree completely, I just much prefer a lack of melodic and rhythmic repetition to more repetition and subtle changes, I think it takes more effort to do that in electronic music.

@alexmutz1 i get overloaded. it's just... dense. but not a mid-60s coltrane kind of dense. i can take that. with that there's real harmony to digest. this tune and AC are too static for me, with the same couple second obscure synthy loops for minutes on end. it's not substantial. personal preference perhaps, but i was disappointed.

I mean it's the diference between watching a film with a plot and seeing a painting. Both are beautiful but in the movie the landscape and emotions, colors, etc, are not static. So if we took your average song and compared to this one, the latter would be like showing a still capture of a setting to your ears, and the former would be telling a story with dynamic characteristics...
