@ndragos87 You don't need to worry about FELIX0123 making comments here anymore. It's one thing to make strong comments about his/her opinion, but it's quite another to bring racial insults into it. I have taken great offense to his comment, as I should, and he has been blocked. I can see that his negative comments are somewhat driven by his bigoted ideals. People like him should be ignored, but not forgotten.
@FELIX0123 LOL you fucking idiot, the cosmos 1000 is one of the biggest cases out on the market, white lights are kickass, and also you dickwad, this video is over two years old, 512mb cards were kickass back then, ffs the GTX 260'S in 2009 only had 896mb
Too bad you don't like it. It's been upgraded many times over. What system do you have? I looked on your page and I didn't see any vids of your build. Maybe you'll make a vid to show how much better it is to mine ;)
It's been upgraded many times over since this video. I took a look at your page. Are you going to make a vid of your PC? I did read on another page you've written that you have four Nvidia 260s, that's pretty impressive. I'm not an Nvidia fan, but I'm sure you PC is pretty fast.
Whao!! Nice build man. I like the fans you added to the air duct. I was thinking of doing the same thing. But I was going to cut holes in the duct and the side of the case to blow air directly onto the video card intake fans.
I trust XP to work really well for my purposes. I had Vista 64bit for about a year or so before I switched. I kind of regret not switching when I got Vista, but I was afraid Vista would not be compatible with all of my parts drivers. I was wrong, Vista64 actually works very well for me so far. Since this video I have upgraded to Vista 64bit. and my RAM to 8GB. It is so fast now. Check out my other vids and you'll see the newer upgrades I've done for it
The E8400 is a very good CPU. Super-overclockable. The thing is that I don't overclock, and I can get an AMD quad-core PhenomII 940 for about ten dollars more. It just makes sense to me to go AMD. Besides AMD's have always worked very well for me. You are right, it is a personal preference.
am same as u, i dont like all these tacky lights and music damping lights. my happy with my antec 900 case with nice and simiple blue lights which give it a night look
nah fuk ya ill run a ps3 up against that shit nayweek ince rig though, good work on adding the fans or the shit will cough> Im a GTX fan myself, Vision tech makes good stuff too
Ah man, the PS3, or any console, can't mess with this PC. It's been way upgraded since this video too. Visiontek has been a great company and I have enjoyed buying and owning their products. It's just that XFX are building ATi cards now, and they have a more comprehensive warranty than Visiontek. You can overclock, replace the heat sink, and if it fails, it is still covered under XFX but Visiontek won't touch it. I got an XFX 4890 for my girlfriend's PC and it works like a dream.
your pc is the low rate of gaming or do you also use it for buisness stuff too? because almostevery vista pc have those stuff, not to insult you, though because my prossecer ang graphics card is intel, but i heard that gaming pcs have way bigger video cards not to insult you though so don't take this seriously
No offense taken. It's for gaming. It's not low rate gaming for me because I can play all of my favorite games, CoD4 and UT3, maxed out. The parts are much higher quality that a name brand PC. It's been upgraded since this video. It's not a super-gaming PC, but it performs like a beast for me.
Thanks man. The 900 is a great gaming case. It's just so hard to manage the cabling in it. I don't know when you got your 900, but the Antec 1200 would have been the perfect fit for you. My case is friggin' huge. it looks like the 1200 would have just about as much room. It's suppose to be easier to manage wires. Maybe you could save up for a full tower case in the future.
The beauty of making your own vids is that you can do them anyway you want. Some Users play music and shoe off the PC, other chit-chat about the parts. You did a great job with your video.
I have done some upgrades. I made more videos of them. The next batch of upgrades I am looking to do is, the CPU, RAM, Operating System maybe, and adding a second video card.
I'm buying that same case, you can get it at fry's electronics. They have a variety of cases and motherboards, if you are planning to build a rig and want to buy from a retail store frys is the perfect place.
I just took a look at the Fry's website. There is not location in MD, so that's ruled out, lol. It would be very cool to have a PC parts store that is local so I can run in and pick something simple up, or I can go in and buy parts for a complete build. CompUSA is the closest store that is like that, but the employees, at least in MD, are idiots.
At the time this vid was made, it was around 2500-300 bucks. It doesn't look like I spent that much, but I got high quality parts. You could build one that is just like mind for about half that price.
My brother has asked for my old PC. I am also going to get rid of my girlfriend's PC when we get her new PC built. If I can give her old PC to my brother, I might sell it to you. It's a big if though. If you're not sure what parts are in my old PC, check out the video I did.
I took a look, and I didn't find any stores that will sell that PC maybe except Best Buy. I saw a forum talking about it, but no pricepoint or anything like that. You may need to get it online if you can.
It's funny, I don't really game that much, at least not like I used to. I just love to build PCs. The games I play, I'm not very good at. I'm 32 years old, my reflexes are slow as hell, LOL. I don't take it very seriously, it's just fun for me now.
Good looking parts. Faster than mine. That e8400 is super-overclockable. Mine is fast enough, the RAIDed hard drives, makes everything lightning fast, and the new 4850 I have makes games run beautifully.
ignore the people saying to "watercool" depending on the processor and the type of aircooling you get for your CPU you can still overclock. I dont like liquid cooling because theres more tubing in the case along with the wires. but if you use some "cable management" the air will flow much better to cool your other components but thats just common sense. :)
Watercooling works great for overclockers. I don't do it, so I don't see the value in doing it. Cable management is far more important for aircooling. That is why I try to keep my cabling as clean and out of the way as possible.
The cables look a bit neater now. It's not perfect, but none of the cabling is affecting the internal airflow. As far as watercooling, it's just not my thing. I am not interested in doing that kind of setup. I always liked aircooling. AMD multi-core CPUs don't overclock well. I don't really overclock, so there is no point. aircooling is simpler, I put in a big-ass CPU cooler, and I don't really need to worry about leaks, or evaporating fluids. Once a month, I clean it off, that's it.
I like this mobo alot even though I haven't really taken advantage of every feature it has. I got this mobo because it was brand spanking new at the time, and I didn't want to buy a new one for a looooong time. I have been thinking of going Crossfire with it when I get my stimulus check, YAY BARACK OBAMA!! LMAO!!
I'm getting this mobo, i have a gigabyte board which really hates my phen-9950(BE) overclocking is a no no... looking forward to this board and it's OC capabilities... also running an HD4870x2... hows GTA-IV for you? :)
I am jealous that you have a 4870x2. I am getting a 4850, I am too poor, lol. I love the mobo. I think you will like it too. I haven't played GTA4, but it isn't out on the PC yet, is it??
Hey I noticed you are upgrading to the Ultra X3 1K PSU. That's the PSU I have in my system, its a brilliant buy! My specs: Vista 64-bit MSI K9A2 Platinum AMD Phenom 9850 BE 2.5ghz (crap overclocking) Corsair XMS2 8GB RAM Visiontek HD4850 Ultra X3 1000W PSU Seagate 500GB HD Ultra Aluminus Full tower case I like your case, really much. I should have bought that one lol.
I kind of changed my mind about the 1000W PSU because at the time I did this video, I was going to go with a Crossfire set-up. With the games I play, I realized I didn't need to go Crossfire to get really great framerates at high resolution. My 600W X-Pro is more than I will need for right now, but the 1000W is great for future-proofing. I like your parts, good choices. How is Vista 64 working for you? I'm thinking of diving into Vista, but I want to be sure it's working better for users.
To tell you the truth, it was a piece of crap when I first installed it. Reason being, my hard drive got infected with a Boot Sector Virus. I spent 2 days with MS tech support regarding the issue, and I have to say, they helped out really well. So, now I have to speak with Seagate regarding the issue. Currently, i'm running 64 on my old WD 200GB hard drive, and thankfully, its working great for me.
In all, I was blaming the OS while it was my HD the whole time. But its a good OS i have to say
Good to know. If I get Vista, it will most likely be for gaming only. All XPs that I own are OEM, so I won't be able to reuse them on another PC. That is why I am not very anxious to jump into Vista if it doesn't work for me.
I read that the 950 is a very good Phenom CPU. If I was to get any Phenom for gaming, it would be that one. The first batch of Phenoms didn't overclock very well. At least the 9950 and I think the 9850 could reach 3GHz. That is enough for just about any game that is out right now. The dual-core I have runs the games I play so well, I am in no rush to upgrade to a quad-core just yet. The current Phenoms looks promising.
I think I got a first batch 9850... my system hangs each and every time I set the clock greater than 2.5ghz. It sucks...
There is a new Phenom line coming out early 2009. The Phenom 2 is going to be AM3 platform, but they are compatible with AM2/AM2+ motherboards. So I have my eye set on it.
The Phenom 2 I'm looking at is quad-core but it is stock clocked at 3.0ghz. Should be very exciting.
im using vista 64 and it is good overall, but it seems to use a lot more ram than 32 bit. it idles around 1.2gb. so unless you have loads of ram, then i would go for 32 bit.
also bout ur upgrades, the memory is clocked on 800MHz but the mobo supports 1066, u should have gotten that, another thing is that the gtx280 beats the 3870x2 with only 1 gpu ! so u might want to think bout that, instead of getting 2 new graphic cards upgrade that lousy processor (a 4core is like 50% of the price of a gfx card) and instead get the 4870x2 gfx card instead of doing cf
just a piece of advice u dont rly need to upgrade to a 1000W psu unless u get a 4CPUs processor and do sli/cf like ..3 way, otherwise is just overkill
dude lols sry man but poor choice for showing off xD get 4GB Kingston 1066 RAMs, 500GB SATA2 HDD, Nvidia GTX280, AMD Phenom 9950 and a Samsung SMT240 WS and then come talk to me !
I don't know what xD means, but I chose my parts that best suited what I wanted in my gaming PC. I like ATi, not Nvidia. I want the speed RAIDed Raptor drives offer, not capacity. The dual-core CPU I got, was the best AMD CPU to get for gaming at the time. The 9950 wasn't out yet. The Hanns-G 22in monitor I have has an excellent picture and refresh rate for a great price. The memory I have is fast enough, and 1066 won't work with my current CPU. What's your PC setup like?
Thanks. I use this PC for gaming only. If I get a new OS for this PC it will be either Vista Ultimate 32 or 64. If I build another PC for my home theater, I would use XP media center. I saw in reviews that it can be a bitch to install. I think Vista Ultimate comes with a media center doesn't it?
I don't have Vista yet, so thanks for the info. If Vista screws me over, I'll try XP Media Center. I have a Logitech Harmony 550 advanced remote. I can use it for both XP media center, and Vista's media center. Of course I have to get the IR device in order to use the remote.
My framerate is limited as well. I think it's my monitor. It won't read anything over 60fps. My monitor is capped at 60Hz, that may be the same in your case. With the 4850 on CoD4, you should definitely get over 70fps. Make a vid of your PC, I wanna see what you have.
Hey, I got the Same Mobo, So far im Running: Amd ahtlon 64 X2 6000+ Oc to 3.2Ghz @ 1.4V 2GB DDR2 667Mhz Ram Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX 768MB Oc to 660/970mhz 500GB+320GB HDD Samsung Syncmaster T220HD 22" 1680x1050 Res. Coolermaster stacker 832 case with 8 fans Planning on getting: Amd Phenom 9850 BE 2.5Ghz 4GB 1066Mhz Ocz Ram Great mobo!
I am not comfortable with overclocking anything with this mobo because there are so many options. I first tried to overclock by using the multiplier, but even though the CPU is unlocked, the mobo is locked at 16x. I do it old school and increase the CPU frequency and voltage. I just need to get the balls to concentrate on overclocking. My old PC seems much easier to overclock, but there are less options for overclocking. I'll get to it one day. I'm not in any rush. I want to get the 9950.
I have thoughts on buying your pc what are your thoughts on that?

o wait i apologized for what i said , i didn't see your graphics card, thats why, man your card looks as big as your motherboard!lol

UGLY WHITE WHAT YO SAYING
nice case man i knew i shuda got this instead of antec 900 !?!?!?!
reeceh26 2 years ago

Wigwahm 3 years ago
Great PC.
Are you planning to upgrade it?
tokud112 2 years ago
I have done some upgrades. I made more videos of them. The next batch of upgrades I am looking to do is, the CPU, RAM, Operating System maybe, and adding a second video card.
Wigwahm 2 years ago
Can you tell me the components that you're upgrading to

black fans are ugly

Black fans are fine, It would be nice if manufacturers made a wider range of colors. Not everyone wants fans that light up, or just plain black.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
yeah man nice pc. i love this case too!
nirvana238 3 years ago
Thanks, it is a very nice case. the case that is better than this as far as I am concerned is the Antec 1200.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
wow where did you get that at??????
paco50859 3 years ago
I'm buying that same case, you can get it at fry's electronics. They have a variety of cases and motherboards, if you are planning to build a rig and want to buy from a retail store frys is the perfect place.
HazyFlamesProduction 3 years ago
I just took a look at the Fry's website. There is not location in MD, so that's ruled out, lol. It would be very cool to have a PC parts store that is local so I can run in and pick something simple up, or I can go in and buy parts for a complete build. CompUSA is the closest store that is like that, but the employees, at least in MD, are idiots.

i got the same casing lol

So how much did it cost to make this computer? Only thing I can figure from what's in it is that it's too much for me to afford D:
jaredvcxz 3 years ago
At the time this vid was made, it was around 2500-300 bucks. It doesn't look like I spent that much, but I got high quality parts. You could build one that is just like mind for about half that price.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
Wow, I bet you can use that computer as an AC in the summer :P

My brother has asked for my old PC. I am also going to get rid of my girlfriend's PC when we get her new PC built. If I can give her old PC to my brother, I might sell it to you. It's a big if though. If you're not sure what parts are in my old PC, check out the video I did.

You're actually the first person to ask me that. Sorry, I'm not getting rid of it though :(
Wigwahm 3 years ago
I took a look, and I didn't find any stores that will sell that PC maybe except Best Buy. I saw a forum talking about it, but no pricepoint or anything like that. You may need to get it online if you can.

It's funny, I don't really game that much, at least not like I used to. I just love to build PCs. The games I play, I'm not very good at. I'm 32 years old, my reflexes are slow as hell, LOL. I don't take it very seriously, it's just fun for me now.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
Hey what kinda games you play? LOL , i could have a 32 year old gamer friend xDDD... would be hillarious xD... tell me what games ye play...
buchanko 3 years ago
I made a video of just about all of the games I play. I also play a little bit of Dirt and Crysis.

yeah man i got e8400 Core 2 duo 3ghz X 2 , Asus X Series p5n-mx MOBO , 4 Gig Kingston 800 MHZ ram ,Zotac Nvidia Geforce 9800GTX+ OVERCLOCKED to 750/2300MHz ( factory overclocked ) , 500 gig hdd , 80 gig hdd , standed midi tower case
jedistormtroop 3 years ago
Good looking parts. Faster than mine. That e8400 is super-overclockable. Mine is fast enough, the RAIDed hard drives, makes everything lightning fast, and the new 4850 I have makes games run beautifully.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
did u think about the Cosmos S before buying this case?
PsychoDrag0n 3 years ago
No because the Cosmos S hadn't come out yet. I don't think I would have gotten the Cosmos S anyway, I like this one more.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
ignore the people saying to "watercool" depending on the processor and the type of aircooling you get for your CPU you can still overclock. I dont like liquid cooling because theres more tubing in the case along with the wires. but if you use some "cable management" the air will flow much better to cool your other components but thats just common sense. :)
PsychoDrag0n 3 years ago
Watercooling works great for overclockers. I don't do it, so I don't see the value in doing it. Cable management is far more important for aircooling. That is why I try to keep my cabling as clean and out of the way as possible.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
how many euros were that like 400-700 ? if its so low price
Lemo95 3 years ago
I have no idea what the dollar-euro conversion is, especially in this economy, lol. All together, It's about 3000 bucks US.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
and sort those cables out
JacobiteChilledPC 3 years ago
The cables look a bit neater now. It's not perfect, but none of the cabling is affecting the internal airflow. As far as watercooling, it's just not my thing. I am not interested in doing that kind of setup. I always liked aircooling. AMD multi-core CPUs don't overclock well. I don't really overclock, so there is no point. aircooling is simpler, I put in a big-ass CPU cooler, and I don't really need to worry about leaks, or evaporating fluids. Once a month, I clean it off, that's it.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
Get it watercooled man !!

this mobo is amazing. I'm save some money for buy it.

I like this mobo alot even though I haven't really taken advantage of every feature it has.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
To tell you the truth, it was a piece of crap when I first installed it. Reason being, my hard drive got infected with a Boot Sector Virus. I spent 2 days with MS tech support regarding the issue, and I have to say, they helped out really well. So, now I have to speak with Seagate regarding the issue. Currently, i'm running 64 on my old WD 200GB hard drive, and thankfully, its working great for me.
In all, I was blaming the OS while it was my HD the whole time. But its a good OS i have to say
kevininsimi 3 years ago
Good to know. If I get Vista, it will most likely be for gaming only. All XPs that I own are OEM, so I won't be able to reuse them on another PC. That is why I am not very anxious to jump into Vista if it doesn't work for me.
Wigwahm 3 years ago

hudders123 3 years ago
Phenom processors are awesome.
kevininsimi 3 years ago
I read that the 950 is a very good Phenom CPU. If I was to get any Phenom for gaming, it would be that one. The first batch of Phenoms didn't overclock very well. At least the 9950 and I think the 9850 could reach 3GHz. That is enough for just about any game that is out right now. The dual-core I have runs the games I play so well, I am in no rush to upgrade to a quad-core just yet. The current Phenoms looks promising.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
I think I got a first batch 9850... my system hangs each and every time I set the clock greater than 2.5ghz. It sucks...
There is a new Phenom line coming out early 2009. The Phenom 2 is going to be AM3 platform, but they are compatible with AM2/AM2+ motherboards. So I have my eye set on it.
The Phenom 2 I'm looking at is quad-core but it is stock clocked at 3.0ghz. Should be very exciting.
kevininsimi 3 years ago
im using vista 64 and it is good overall, but it seems to use a lot more ram than 32 bit. it idles around 1.2gb. so unless you have loads of ram, then i would go for 32 bit.
zoid9 3 years ago
also bout ur upgrades, the memory is clocked on 800MHz but the mobo supports 1066, u should have gotten that, another thing is that the gtx280 beats the 3870x2 with only 1 gpu ! so u might want to think bout that, instead of getting 2 new graphic cards upgrade that lousy processor (a 4core is like 50% of the price of a gfx card) and instead get the 4870x2 gfx card instead of doing cf
IFlip92 3 years ago
and all that crams nicely with a 900W which is much cheaper than a 1KW one
PS: what model is ur monitor?
IFlip92 3 years ago
I have two. Hanns-G 22in model# HW223D, 19in HW192D.
Wigwahm 3 years ago
just a piece of advice u dont rly need to upgrade to a 1000W psu unless u get a 4CPUs processor and do sli/cf like ..3 way, otherwise is just overkill
IFlip92 3 years ago
dude lols sry man but poor choice for showing off xD get 4GB Kingston 1066 RAMs, 500GB SATA2 HDD, Nvidia GTX280, AMD Phenom 9950 and a Samsung SMT240 WS and then come talk to me !
IFlip92 3 years ago
I don't know what xD means, but I chose my parts that best suited what I wanted in my gaming PC. I like ATi, not Nvidia. I want the speed RAIDed Raptor drives offer, not capacity. The dual-core CPU I got, was the best AMD CPU to get for gaming at the time. The 9950 wasn't out yet. The Hanns-G 22in monitor I have has an excellent picture and refresh rate for a great price. The memory I have is fast enough, and 1066 won't work with my current CPU. What's your PC setup like?
Wigwahm 3 years ago
Nice PC! Dude, you should get Windows XP Media Center Edition! Get that Media Center look and it would be off the hook! Just like mine! xD
vangstaz 3 years ago
Wigwahm 3 years ago
Nice, and Vista Ultimate does include Media Center, so does Premium.
vangstaz 3 years ago
I don't have Vista yet, so thanks for the info. If Vista screws me over, I'll try XP Media Center. I have a Logitech Harmony 550 advanced remote. I can use it for both XP media center, and Vista's media center. Of course I have to get the IR device in order to use the remote.

I play COD4 on Very High on 1680x1050 with 4x AA on 70FpS , i would get even more but its frame limited or sumthin.
But nice PC ! :D
DowShino678 3 years ago
My framerate is limited as well. I think it's my monitor. It won't read anything over 60fps. My monitor is capped at 60Hz, that may be the same in your case. With the 4850 on CoD4, you should definitely get over 70fps. Make a vid of your PC, I wanna see what you have.

Wigwahm 3 years ago
Well this How i Overclocked My CPU and its fairly easy and works Very stable and Low temp.
1.Go to AMD overDrive
2.Go to Performance Control
3.Go to Clock/Voltage
4.Set the Bus Speed (Mhz) by how much you want, i had 200 (3000mhz) and i set it to 215 so now its (3240mhz) *3.2ghz*
5.Set the voltage to its maximum for stability, Mine was 1.35V i set it to 1.4v
6.Have fun.
So that is what i did to Oc my CPU i got a 1.5k increase in 3dmark06 by doing just that.
Good Luck!
