@less01 the Taino's inhibited the entire island of Hispaniola and named it Ayiti, Quesqueya, Boyo. Not only that but Haiti fought and liberated the DR and governed the whole island at one point.

DR is located today Quisqueya = Mother of all lands. Dominican Republic is primarialy a Mulatto and Mestizo country with all skin colors from WHITE, to dark and everything in between... I have no issue being called mullatto, black , whatever you want but please stop making us equal.... because we are truly not... is just a historical fact... Hispaniola has been geographically and culturally divided since the days o the natives.

Hispaniola used to be called Ayiti(Haiti) before the island got devided into two sections. So don't be suprised when you see a dark skin Dominican. Hispaniola is a black island and dominicans are of Haitian African heritage no matter how light or dark they are.

That is such an ignorant comment. These children are orphans and obviously BORN in DR, so therefore, they are Dominican. I am a brown-skinned Dominican as well and it is that same mentality that keeps our culture depressed. If there were European children born in DR in the video, no one would say anything, but when they are black it is always a problem. These children are deprived of carino/love and familia/family, yet all you see is race. I love my Dominican culture but hate the ignorance.
