The best version of this song was sung by Gary Miles in 1961. The version sang in the film "Circus of Horrors" was Gary Mills. The song was composed by Anthony Hatch, who went on to write hit songs like "Down Town" for Petula Clark 4 years later

I have been looking for this song for ages. I first saw Circus of Horror in cinema when I was very young, in 1960 in H.K. The scene of the girl spinning downwards on the rope in the middle of the circus tent while singing this song was embedded in my mind. Thank you for posting this song here. It bought back fond memories.

It's nice to have something like YouTube for people with great taste in music to search for great songs! We are certainly not finding this on current radio airwaves today! Of course this song came out in 1960 and reached #29. It also came from the British horror flick Circus of Horrors. Figure that one out.
