India owns this song. Henley may have written it, but this gifted woman gives life to his words. She sings from the heart and each word, each breath, is honest and real.
@Cecebearable IMO, India is an 'old soul'.... Her understanding of life, love, loss and how to savor the sweetness in life though when she's borne sorrow, is undeniable. Maybe that's why when she sings, we hear the beauty of her voice and our hearts feel the truth of the words.
@gulfgypsy And dont you EVER forget it... India's songs touch everything from my heart to my soul...I'm 13 and she has got to be my favorite singer. India's song is beautiful and I know every lyric to it. =3
India deserves at least a Grammy or something (I dun know if she has 1 already XP)
Love love love you India! I actually prefer this version to Don Henley's...
The grasp this soulfull lady has on human nature and spirituality is truly inspiring, refreshing and reassuring.... I' ve never been to any concert Whatsoever before (except for outdoor festivals) but I would be delighted and priviledged to hear and see her next time she comes around (Montreal). Sorry to find out I missed her her few months ago....
This is a woman who understands the human character. Her songs are ripe with emotions that affect the soul. She is amazing... and I cannot get enough of her!! Love her till death do us part!!
India is one of the best singers of today's times. There are no comparisons 2 her. Her talent is spectacular & devine. Her lyrics teaches you to love yourself first. Her music inspires you 2 go 4 your dreams. I love the fact that her music goes deep down inside your soul & make you see the best in yourself. It pushes you to move forward & be a better you. Her music is inspiring to me because I learned to love me for just how God made me, flaws & all. I love India 4 that. Her music is a blessing.
I love this song the old version is great also I heard this song on sex in the city trailer in it started to make me think damn their is still good music out there
i love this song... always have.. but i really enjoi her version.. I love this song a lil more now.. b.c. I recently went thru a heart break.. so i can relate... to she did a excellant job.. gotta love india aire.. very postive lady..
I love this song it took me back to a place where once was so good!!!!!!But it let's me know there's a better place to be and there's a time to be there!!!!!!!!! It's all about FORGIVENESS********* and living in FORGIVENESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
India is a teacher of musical lyrics. Her lyrics teaches the heart to forgive, forget & move on with your gift from God, (your life). The heart can be broken into so many peices, you wonder if it can mend, (YES). God is able. Love is wonderful when it's good. Love is painful when your heart wreaks with pain(God is able). Let's live, love, laugh & treat a person like you want to be treated. Always, Always communicate to a person just the way you're feeling. PEACE, JOY & HAPPINESS TO ALL.
This song reaches my soul. It rings so true to all we are taught. India puts such a poetic and soulful spin on it! I love this rendition on it. Don Henley penned it and she took it to another level! LOVE IT!
I can't move on from him :( this song just makes me want to cry, but it expresses everything which is so liberating. I can't stop listening.
I just wish I could rewind, and that we'd still be together, and so my heart wouldn't be so shattered like it is now. I can't deal with the hurt anymore...
@silversword15 Six years? It's barely been six months for me and I feel completely broken. Getting from one day to the next is a challenge I can hardly face, especially when I have to see him everyday, and see someone else on his arm :( How did you make it through six years?
@PreityLuva well i just live the way it should be though its damn hard...she's on the other side of the world now(im from philippines and she's at maryland) for i guess 3 years now but i still long to see her... all my song compositions are just shouting for her... all these poems spells only her name...(hey am not emo, but shit she makes me feel one whenever her memories flashing in my mind) :-(
While I have fond memories of hearing the Don Henley version, I love this version just as much. She has such a beautiful voice and does an awesome job on this song. You can feel the emotion. Lovely.....
I cried when I first listened to this song too. Because she expressed a feeling a lot of people get once the love is gone, but she did it in a way that also expressed her having come to terms with it as opposed to how most of our women in r&b do it with angry wrants about how their ex will never find another like them. I just love the way she expresses herself because she expresses me too....
Im goin thru havin to let go and forgive and my heart is so broken and tho this songs makes me cry every time it is still whats been keepin me strong. i literally dont know anything anymore because what i knew and who i knew is no longer real. i dont have anger towards him. i just feel the worst pain i was hoping i wouldnt feel again
This song is more than unique. I heard it recently in "Sex and the City: The Movie"... It describes exactly the feelings and the things I'm going through right now. This happens to me very rarely...
well then take yah dumb ass of this page and go listen to don henley's version... (you come on a page, juss to bash the artist...you dont even give her some props..you go straight into saying..like a lil dumbass..oh ummm"don blah blah blahs version is better..who gives a flying fuck...!!!!! her version kicks ass too..
