alright.. i got a question! are those stock headlamps? if so, do you know if it is possible to put them on an 06 jetta MkV? i know they make ballasts for them and i could most likely use the headlamps from a MkV gti... do you know if this would work? i really want the HIDs but i dont want some knock-off brand piece of crap headlights...

Oh I love TypeR, but Golf is far better made. And I wouldn't say that R is quicker. There are about the same, but GTI with DSG is quicker.

Actually you cannot compare the two. DSG is just faster then any human. So....it's new industry standard developed by VW.

Also it's just the question of time before Honda develops her own version of DSG, just like BMW and Ford did.

But personaly, I prefer manual over DSG since it's a bit more fun....better feeling.

and i can tell you guys that the GTI is a great car, very quick overall and nimble car. im thinking of picking 1 up in a few years!

u guys may or maynot believe me but i have taken on G35, 350Z S2000's and i would beat them by half to one car length. when i raced the GTI's they ar neck and neck. i was quite impressed!!!

Anyway my lease is over in about 2 year and a half and at that pointthey the new model should be out. I heard it will have the same engine but with 230hp and possibly the DSG 7 speed. I can't wait! Like I said. The Civic Type R looks like God smacked it on the back with a plywood and then ran it over with a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. And the new SI has a Whopping 139lb/ft of torque whereas if u do a simple $500 mod(ECU reflash) u can get almost double what a Civic has. Civic is made to be mass produced not raced and the GTI is a true Legend. So y don't u do eat a dick... thats all Honda drivers are good for anyway.

If speed is your thing, then go for the 2 door one. Slightly lighter. However if you're using it everyday, take a 4 door. It's more practical, easier to get the gals in and you could always install a shaven door kit for the rear (or all 4) to give you a 2 door feel. This car looks good period.
