Reagan literally TRIPLED the National Debt. No other President in history (including Bush Jr.) has ever come close to matching that record. It was less than 1 trillion when Carter left office and nearly 3 trillion when Reagan left office.
Bush "only" doubled it. (5.7 trillion on the way in, 11 trillion on the way out.) I'm not sure anybody with a mental age of 15 or better would be using Reaganomics as a model of economic success.

Reagan literally TRIPLED the National Debt. No other President in history (including Bush Jr.) has ever come close to matching that record. It was less than 1 trillion when Carter left office and nearly 3 trillion when Reagan left office.
Bush "only" doubled it. (5.7 trillion on the way in, 11 trillion on the way out.) I'm not sure anybody with a mental age of 15 or better would be using Reaganomics as a model of economic success.

The best part of the Palin 08 campaign was the VP debate against Biden. I loved how she would ignore the questions she was asked, and just barf out a prepared answer to ANOTHER question that sounded similar. She only had a repertoire of about eight answers to use.
My personal favorite was when she was asked "under what circumstances should the U.S. use nuclear weapons," and she gave an answer on "how to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons." F-cking DUNCE!

The amazing thing about this recent round of Palin interviews is that she is clearly anticipating a 2012 run, yet after a FULL YEAR to study she cannot speak intelligently about policy issues. Watching her answer a basic question is like watching a kid trying to give a book report based on the cliffnotes he read on the way to school. She'll never be president, or hold elected office again, but the fact she came so close reflects so badly on America it's embarrassing.

Let's see, Reagan cuts taxes in 1981 and 3 years later unemployment is 11%. Credit cards, cocaine and military spending and the economy starts recovering in 1984, at that point Reagan had already raised taxes twice after cutting taxes the 1st time. They've made Ronald Reagan something he was not. The guy was a good president but he wasn't really the conservative that neocons are trying to portrait today. Reagan never balanced a budget, trippled the deficit,gave citizenship to ilegals, etc...
