There is no disputing the band has changed as they matured. Millions of dollars will do that. The thing about pearl jam is that they've survived what would have ended virtually all other bands' careers, and you can choose to be stuck in the era of 'ed at the verge of a meltdown', or move on and appreciate the post-roskilde era for what it is. Mostly awesome. They were my favorite band until Queens/Josh Homme took the reigns about 5 years ago but I'll always consider their music an old friend.
This is damn bright!!... JOSH!!! This is not a TV studio! Turn these lights down!! This is fu**ing rock concert!!! For Pearl Jam sake, when is he gonna learn? Well it HAS been 20 years since Eddie gave him the light lesson, that's quite much.. maybe Josh only need to be reminded so he wont get us blinded.. But goooood song as always.
if the next album has all this shit on it or anything like the fixer on it then i wont be buying anymore pearl jam albums which is sad cause ive been purchasing since 92
@govtschemes Their last 3 albums are vastly different. I think because of Matt Cameron. They all relate to eachother. Ten stands alone because it is raw in the sense that it was written by young men who had not dealt with fame. I never compare it to the others. I have matured along with the band and that is probably why I like all of their albums. PJ cannot be defined and you cannot predict what they will do next. They cannot either, thats why they are still at it.
@govtschemes Thats funny bc it sounds exactly like "that shit they've been doing the last ten years", which has been the best years of their career you deaf jackass.
well this how pearl jam saying "we still got it and we can still rock you out coz you've been listening to our music by sitting down and waving that lighter on for so many years"
@gcapris90 i agree those songs are like macarena style garage punk pop crap...these guys r capable of much better the problem is they are getting old and really dont care..i think they have gone the wrong direction..i think yield is their last great album in full
