is that a guitar or a weed-whip they are using...seems to me, my trusty echo weed whip sounds more like a guitar than this crap....jimi would be rolling in his grave
@Digger2527 Don't accuse things you couldn't do yourself. Respect musicians. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they're not talented. Just fuck off.
@DrunkenWaffle Why are you so wounded about people ranting about these guys? lol... and stop whinning and crying and insulting people, it makes you look so idiot.
I didnt know anything about Boston's music but when I heard this song I truly got what everyone's talking about all this time!!!! their style is so unique!!! I just cant believe they were playing like this back in the seventies!!! their music still sounds so good!!!! thanks for posting
@forgefiy I respect people's opinions. Music is what people make it to be, not what YOU as a single person say it is. Music is more powerful than one person's personal opinion.
People can't control what they like.
You make it sound as if you hate Justin Bieber fans because they're not cool or something.
And in that fact, I respect them for liking Justin Bieber, even when it's not considered to be "cool" by 99% of the world's population.
At least they're not afraid to like what they like.
@ProEdit7x Actually, people CAN control what they like. It's not that difficult to diagnose the difference between "good" music and crap. All it takes is a little musical training to really begin to appreciate music with good harmony, melody, vocals and rhythm...20-30 years ago there was much more creativity.
Fast-forward to today, where everything that's being done is just a re-hash of everything that's already BEEN done, and you can probably see what all the buzz is with Bieber, Gaga etc.
@BoosterTerrick1 Some people are chubby chasers. A lot of people think fat chicks are disgusting. MOST people think fat women or men are disgusting, but some people actually prefer it.
If you're telling me you can control what you like...
Then all offense given, you're fucking stupid.
A lot of people who like Justin Beiber are children. Let them have some fucking fun. They're too young to understand music like this.
@ProEdit7x All good now? Did you get your daily dose of "let's insult somebody over the Internet 'cause I can hide behind the screen"?
Back to the subject: Yes, people can be taught to control what they like. Mankind is not just a bunch of animals ruled by instinct...but it would take too long to explain it in this forum. I have noticed, however, that you seem to be a person who believes that people can't control their actions, either, because of the way you reacted to my differing opinion.
You're not stating an 'opinion'. You're saying what is to be, in your fucked up point of view, a 'fact of life'. Which couldn't be farther from the truth. I hope you can turn a retard into a genius. I hope you can make an idiot savant to be good at something other than his only skill. Are you trying to act the part of "god"? What makes your opinions better than everyone else's?
@BoosterTerrick1 And no, I insult people openly because I'm a drunk. And if you said what you just did in front of me, you would have a fist in your face right now.
And the way you describe something as being good or bad is nothing more than an opinion.
'good' is a word used to describe something you like, but when it comes down to it at the end of the day, what we see as good or bad is just an illusion created by our minds.
There is no good/bad. There's only opinions.
If you're arguing about the technical aspects of music, then you don't understand the point of music AT ALL. And that's my own personal opinion.

This is the kind of music that will last forever, not the shit they are making today. Lady Poo Poo, Aeishit, and the rest of the crap will go down the drain.

@shannonkuratli I've lost count of the times I've grabbed a mic substitute, tossed my head back and wailed "I closed my eyes and I slipped awaaaaaaaay!!!!" It just doesn't get much better
@XaaPoo Maybe, I don't know this Jimmy Hendrix you're talking about. Actually, there's a solo guitarist named Jimi Hendrix who does great stuff, but, he's alone (or with two musicians, it depends), he's not a part of a band, and, his music is completely different than Boston, so I wont compare them 'cause it will be silly.
The song contains one of the greatest endings of any Rock song. The song itself is a Rock-prayer; and what a great, emotionally-charged conclusion to a classic Rock song! I mean, my God, the ending is absolutely riveting. The sung word "AWAAAAAAAAAAAY..." is held in the air forever, as the blistering guitar just grinds away into the sunset. The song is pure male pathos; pure male magic. Every man in America knows that feeling - that bittersweet feeling of having lost a good woman.
@rockyracune Dude, you just fuckin' nailed it...I'm 36, this is my favorite song OF ALL TIME...This is, and always will be, the only song to capture the pure magic of harmony, musicianship, and melody. Flawless.
@rockyracune Couldn't have said it better, myself!! And, you're right, us guys, we've all been there. She walked away after 3 years ('68 - '71) ; bittersweet, indeed. Yet, it allowed for the "Right One" to bring me "More Than A Feeling" who hasn't "come and gone" after 39 years! I "dream of a girl I used to know", but she's my wife now! Rock-prayer/Anthem! Thanks for the post. And to zVasslinezz! Check out post by Rory2259 and comments. Peace and Rock On! "As clear as the sun in the summer sky"

"I hide in my music, forget the day." Oh yeah, I do that quite often nowadays. As a matter of fact, I'm doing it right now! This is what I love about Boston. Their music enables me to forget the worst of days with ease and still love life with a passion no matter how bad it gets even after 30+ years from their debut. An incredible accomplishment from an incredible band. Thanks so much guys for an awesome job well done. R.I.P. Mr. Brad Delp.
