Glad you got Louis' joke. Maybe I was being a little harsh, but the impression a lot of us get is that Americans don't get a lot of our jokes.

That said, there is A LOT of comedy from the States that I find extremely funny - Simpsons, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm and much more - and that's all smart and refined stuff, so I'm sure it's not the case that people don't get jokes.

This bell-end didn't, though, that's for sure.

the way he pronounces his vowels is much more in line with the American accent, like "not" pronounced more like "nAt" as opposed to "naught" (the latter being canadian; much the same way Americans say "sawrry" and canadians say "sorry"). So while he may be from Toronto, I'd say he has either spent a number of years in the States or was born there.
