I remember the 1st time I saw the cover of Horses. God, what an image. It was the first time I understood what punk rock was, coming from the college rock/Hardcore generation.
Taste is subjective, but you obviously don't know much about music. The Clash could play so many styles of music and just tear it up. Any knowledgeable fan of rock music at least respects the Clash. Only the ignorant dismiss them.
