Looks like a box of rejects to me. My gramps owned a gun shop for years and my uncle was a gunsmith. Sometimes people would try out the weapons and leave a partial box of ammo behind. This ammo they'd put in a bag for the firing range or something. But more often than not it'd wind up left under the counter for who knows how long. They collected the empty round boxes, too, for refilling from their own ammo press for their own use.

Someone either planted that to dispose, frame or otherwise hide the cache. But i'd say it was all throw away check around your workplace and ask around to find the one who dumped that cache on you.

So your pickup bed made for a handy drop. Some of the stuff might be fine to use. Sort it out, clean it up, sell or barter it, or use it up yourself target practicing.

Well if the Shells are dry and not rusted it could have been a gift.

Dang Monty, you gotta start getting references from these wacked out homeowners! seriously that would have pissed me off. I bet while you were inside working they put that in your truck. Did you truck have a lot of job debris in the back? My thoughts are that someone unfamiliar with weaponry came across the box cleaning out a storage shed, or something, and was unsure of, or afraid to dispose of it. So your pickup bed made for a handy drop. Some of the stuff might be fine to use. Sort it out, clean it up, sell or barter it, or use it up yourself target practicing.

Monty... Seriously- Im GLAD you video taped it...because it sure seemed like a set up to me. The ammo is in zip bags, which is what the police does when they confiscated it from your house....at least, thats what they did to me. Be careful- I would just turn it in to the police and say "no thank you!!"
