  • motherfucker looks like a skinhead bitch

  • you must love new york...and te human league OMG¡¡

  • I loved the dumplings... five for a buck. Not pretty, but when you are wandering the streets for hours taking in NYC, you can't beat it.

    great videos! I miss NYC.

  • great video, was in nyc in december just before christmas had a great time, met some fantastic characters and im hoping to go backthis summer. great city

  • Hey, i'm from London and am visiting NY for a week ( Sep 25th ) and would just like to say thank you for this collection of videos. They have been very informative and a nice change from the more touristy commercial side i wanted to avoid.

  • Thanks. As I write this I guess you are here already. I hope you have a great time in New York.

  • Yea i am. I just went to Big Daddy's Diner! Great pancakes. I'm in an internet cafe next to the WTC site. Thanks again.

  • hey, thanks for the heads up... i live in NJ... i listen to a radio station called WBAI in manhatten. are you familiar with it? just curious

  • I know WBAI. I don't listen to radio much. I grew up in the south driving a car everywhere and then I listened to it all the time. Somehow, though, without a car I don't listen to much radio. But I like WBAI. You get points of view you otherwise don't hear.

  • My families favorite place in Chinatown is called WO HOP on Mott Street, HOP KI thats close by to it is good too.

  • I've been there. It is good.

  • Monkey picked tea! LOL! Vinny did come across as a bit of a nutter ;)

I feel so hungry now! Before this I thought New York was all about delhis, I had no idea there was so much variety and I'm still super impressed that you can go eat somewhere at any time of the day or night!

    Great tour Phil, thank you!

  • Nutter, maybe, but Vinnie was cute. He had a seductive smile and a twinkle in his eye. I might go back and invite him over for some Monkey picked. Thanks for watching,SSJ.

  • lol, yeh he had a certain charm! Good luck with that ;) lol!

  • Wat up biotch? ;) - Beautiful, rich and a landmark vid. In the late 1990's while highly drunk I saw a movie and I cannot remember the name. But it made NY seem beautiful to me, in a way that it didn't seem from my Jersey days. It was all these gardens, warm summer heat and restaurants. You have captured that ambiance with personal flair unmatched. Thank you Phil. - John Reagan

  • I could make a film that made the city look terrible. It's all here, the good and the bad. But I deeply love my city and its history, and I think it shows in my work. You are one of my strongest supporters and your comments keep me going. It's why I do this.

  • this is an excellent guide! I have to see part 1 now...

  • I had much fun shooting this. It is an area I really love. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • thanks again!

  • Pork Bowel?

  • Pork Bao (I think it means bun).

  • OK; Thanks.....Enough Pork & Beef Innerds In Food Out Here. Tripe; Chorizo;Tamales.....Tounge, Brain, Stomach Lineing

  • Yummmmm or Yukkkkk.

  • Chorizo Isn't Bad If You Taste It BEFORE Knowing The Ingredients. I Was Wondering If The One Restaurant Sells Civet Coffee grounds, Along With Their Monkey Picked Tea.

  • I don't know, but the next time I go down for some Monkey Picked, I'll ask :).

  • Another great tour! Damn, I'm excited!!

  • Can't wait to see you, Jimmy. We'll have a cup of monkey picked tea.

  • oh i haven't been to NYC in soooo long. this made me miss it even more :-(

  • If I am away for just a few days I miss it.

  • Thanks this is great! Youtubers going to 07-07-07 should watch pt 1 & 2 before they go. Very informative! I love N.Y.

  • LOL @ "...tea is always better when picked by a monkey." Oh, I've been to Katz's!

  • I hope the monkeys have a union and health care plans.

  • LOL!

  • By July some of the local produce is coming to the green markets in town. The biggest is at Union Square, and you can get vine ripened and organic fruits and veggies there that beat anything in any store.

  • One day I hope to go over to NY and see the sights. I know I will definetly be watching these videos again and taking down tips. Thanks

  • Thanks for watching. I hope you find them useful.

  • 5 dumplings for $1, great !NY ,i could just go and eat,and eat, and eat!!

  • They were not bad, especially after being sauced up. But I had 10 and a diet coke for $2.60.

  • Hey FB,

You made me hungry for some steamed dumplings. Flushing is not so far away. What do you recommed there? And, do you have any favorites in Astoria???

  • I don't know the names of restaurants in Flushing. I've only been there a couple of times, but both times the food was superb. Astoria? All I know about Astoria is Greek.

  • Yes, it's Greek to me, but, Astoria also has alot of Croatians...

  • lol,buns stuffed full of pork!lol,thats funny,pork stuffed buns!!

  • food, wins me over every time!!
