  • Love this version... great job!!! BETTER than the original...

  • @SenorHuevo777 It is the remaster which we helped with. A reproduction for MP3 promotion with added drums, bass in middle (hawkins), and strings at end. A cosmetic sonic upgrade to Johns version.

  • the changes are over powering

  • @Omerack Goodness, it was just a remaster for distribution with some strings added, drums and bassline tidy (adding) in the Hawkins section.

  • @SoOutThere I never said it sounded bad, in fact this is the only remix of the song I found that I like so far. I didn't mean to offend anyone.

  • @Omerack Cheers! I'm not sure it's 'over powering' was all (the objective was a tidy up) :)

  • Oh this is a treat. Thank you

  • Cool Very Cool

  • This is the ONLY instance where Autotune is USEFUL and VALID!! :) R.I.P Carl Sagan.

  • Inspiring!

  • L0L turn that shit up nikkaaaah!

  • Damn, dude that was a great mix. Inspirational!

  • fantastic work I really like it!!! I love Astronomy and Carl Sagan!!!

  • WOW !!! Great job !!!!

  • Thanks for watching Pat :)

  • Nice tough there at the end, showing Carl's ship of the imagination.

  • Thanks!

  • Nice work, The sound quality is really good! "My god, it's full of stars!"

  • A glorious dawn...

  • Not to sound rude, but other than adding some more background sound, what did you do? As far as I can tell this is a remastering but not a remix. If I am wrong please correct me, but I can't really tell much difference from the original.

  • We completely reproduced it (listen to the master MP3s not comparing using the quality of YouTube?) added extra drums, percussion, bass (Hakwing section) and did the strings at the end. We retouched the video too. We then promoted this for John on the internet using the mastered version. You are right, I should term it Reproduction rather than Remix, but kept that term not to confuse (however it did confuse you!). Cheers.

  • Thank you for the clarification.

  • It's the a shame the man isn't around to see this. Well done, both the original and your remix :)

  • Yes, he would appreicate the technology aspect mixed with creativity I think. Have a great week and thx!

  • i agree i love this song so much it was done really well.

  • I still enjoy the original version the most, but this is the best of all the remixes. You should make remixes for the other songs SymphonyofScience (aka ColorPulse aka MelodySheep) has done.

  • I hope to. Thanks for watching this version.

  • beautiful song with one of the greatest minds of human history!

  • Good remix of an amazing piece of art - only slight niggle is the vocals are slightly too quiet compared to the additional drum/strings track.

Still, since I haven't done jack, I'm just content to listen to the work of people more talented than I :-)

  • >since I haven't done jack

You made a slight niggle which helped me mix better in future :)

  • What do you mean, those strings at the end- so great, I mean it's that, that was missing.

  • Remembered and revived like this Carl's work and message will never get old.

  • This is a good remix, but could someone do a mash up with this song and a hip hop song so I can sneak it onto a nightclub play list?

  • Good idea and hope to do some more remixes with more time.

  • sounds better, although the vox are 2/3 dB too quiet throughout imo. maybe more gain with possible compression would work?

  • Yes agreed. At the time it sounded okay :)

  • If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch...

...you must first invent the universe.

    -Carl Sagan

    I love this quote!!!

  • very well done good sir.. very well done indeed! :)

  • Really really good. Thanks! :-)

  • p.s rest in peace Carl

  • I believe you have a hit, nice job

  • Its a reproduction for MP3 promotion with added drums, bass in middle (hawkins), and strings at end. A cosmetic sonic upgrade to Johns version.

  • @SoOutThere I would have loved more strings. It is perfect for this song.

  • Thank you. I originally considered putting the strings in each chorus, but thought to leave it for added impact at the end. You could be right with more however! Thanks for your input and for listening to this version.

  • Well done tim, I am enjoying this, nice mix muchloveCpxx

  • fucking amazing .. thanks just doesn't quite do it.

  • i like your choice for the chorus words

  • EXCELLENT!!! RATED 5! Haha, this made my day. I need to take out my telescope these days.

  • Thanks! Dont forget that apple pie too!

  • He hasn't invented the universe yet.

  • then where did the pie come from?

  • A wormhole into another universe.

  • Eeek! Great :)
