I was at this race...and I was standing at the bottom of the stairs in turn 3 (Elliott Stands) waiting to see Jimmie Johnson take the win, so we were bolting early to beat the traffic. While going down the bleachers, (We were sitting about 33 rows up) I kept looking out and caught the 48 and 99 going by each lap...with 2 to go we hit the bottom of... See More the steps and I looked up seeing that Carl had caught the 48,

I hollered for my brother to get back up there cause he had made the turn to go down the steps to go to the ground. When Jimmie and Carl came by us, I had the perfect vantage point to see that 99 skimming the wall, slinging dust and dirt in the air and passing that 48 to the line! That whole Elliott Grandstand was shaking with excitement!

No, I have not enjoyed the 3peat. The only thing my driver did in that time span is win the daytona 500, a good accomplishment, but no cup title.
