seranadesca: no offence but talent comes from God & God alone yes applying your self always helps but i have tried to draw and never could even though i applied myself but with musical instraments it comes natrully and i love it and it only took me less than a year to master the guitar and most of the piano now i am in the middle if making a cd(i write music 2) but God gives talent we just have a choice to use it to our best ability or not...:)

To answer your question--his talent comes from the fact that he dedicated himself to practicing the piano, long, long ago, and persisted until he had achieved an astounding level of skill. Of course, talent comes from applying the self.
