  • @greengtrs thanks man, I'm thinking of getting one (an EX though) can you engage more than one effect at a time?

  • @DIGITALH1TMAN I can't tell you anything about the EX...I don't remember the differences...but look for a good used one and buy the better unit if possible...it did a lot more and was more controllable with your feet...I didn't even use that much of it but that was important to me. You could choose several different things at once and still control every parameter.

  • Whats better this or the Boss ME-70? :)

  • @DIGITALH1TMAN I'm more of a plug straight into my amp and go kind of player, but if I had to use some effects for a particular gig/band/song...this has been my choice. It sounds more natural to me than most others do and they copy some of the coolest vintage effects out there so for what it would cost you for a good flanger, delay, and overdrive pedal (like what they are copying), you can get this and it does so much more (but not everything...no looping) and it has some great amp sounds too...

  • That's a good guitar, buddy :)

  • Is there a Wah effect? :)

  • @quer94 Yes...

  • @greengtrs Thank you :)

I can get this board for around 250 dollars, in Denmark.. worth it?

  • @quer94 You're welcome. That sounds like an amazing deal!

  • @quer94 Buy it.

  • @Greengtrs

After watching ur demo I bought one of those Se vox tonelab pedals and I love it it's vary awesome! I had been looking at them for awhile anyway lol

  • @Jeepjones85 Please send my commission check to...lol...oh well...thanks for watching!

  • Cool demo ! Like all your gear in the back too lol

  • @Jeepjones85 Thanks! It's even more cluttered these days...check out some newer ones...

  • You really like the sound of your voice huh? Just shut up and play the damn thing!

  • are you able to use all four channels simultaneously?

  • What's the proper name of the white epiphone in the back to the right?

I bought a 2nd hand old one on ebay, it's red, & doesn't look identical to the white one in the back of this vid but it's the closest match I have found so far...

What do you guys think I bought? :0/

Thanks 4 your time in advance...

  • @DavinaFaerie The white guitar in the backround ("stage right") on the left in the video is a BC Rich...if you want to send me some pictures, I could try to help you identify yours...message me with any info you already know such as the age/history...

  • @greengtrs You're so cool, I really appreciate you're assistance... Actually I think i found out what it is. It could be an epiphone les paul special 11 from indonesia that they don't sell anymore.

I'll look in to it just a bit more & if I'm not certain I'll send u some pics...

Thanks so much once again for the offer... You're great... :0)

  • @DavinaFaerie Thanks for the compliment and no problem...I like to help...I don't think it's a LP Special II though...I've had those also...I can't really remember a similar shape from Epiphone but I'll rack the brain...a short video here would be great (even better than pictures) because you would not only get my help then, but anybody who watches it...I put one up asking who's autograph I had and got tons of answers (some were wrong...lol).

  • Have you ever played an Agile Guitar? I heard they compete really well with epiphones and even les pauls.

  • The top is that gorgeous because it isnt real, its a veneer sticker

  • @Noseheros It was real...I've seen a ton of "FOTO_FLAME" guitars (Fender's and Yamaha's in particular) where each one is essentially identical to the next 9as far as looks), but these are all different (and although it is just a very thin veneer, it is still real wood...which may do nothing for the tone, but it certainly makes each one unique looking).

  • @greengtrs Wow I must've underestimated them then...I really like the Epiphone Masterbilt guitars and the Elitist series...but I hate that they have a bad rep because they compete with Squier on the lower end...

  • @Noseheros They deserve the bad rep because their lower end really, really sucks (almost all of the bolt on neck ones anyways...and some of the Squier's are okay), but most of the set neck models are decent...this guitar was really nice...better than the last Elitist Les Paul I had (which has a great reputation simply because it's made in Japan...I was very disappointed with it)...but companies like Ibanez and LTD (by ESP) give you so much more and better quality for the same or less money...

  • That is a BEAUTIFUL guitar

  • i think the black guitar on the backgorund is awesome

  • I own an SE and if im honest, its really shit! Alot of the sounds have a slight delay on them. I've tried so many times with it, but its just awful. It steals the tone from your amp and the presets are weak as fuck.(by weak i dont mean not 'heavy') Theres one good thing about it though, its got a pretty good wah....... Oh and lots of pretty lights. Please dont get rid of this post, i think people need to see it.

  • @meccaollielorde Either there is something wrong with your unit (and I suppose that's possible) but more likely, you just need to learn how to use it better. Don't use their presets...get in there and figure out what you want. Learn how to remove the delay. Read your manual. Start with a basic amp sound then add effects. One of the things I liked about it was that you could strip away all of the effects and get some of the best amp models going (shy of actually buying each tube amp they copy).

  • @meccaollielord ..I agree you need to spend time with it to get to know it.... Mine is just fantastic and I wouldn't swap for any other effects unit. The VR is awesome.....I use Fenders and Tokai 'les paul' btw.

  • hi

i need to know a important thing: how can i get my vox tonelab Le to my pc

so that i can record stuff???

    pls help =)

  • @555Lemmy666 I haven't figured that one out myself...I've got Garage Band on my Mac and have never even used it(ahhhhhh...3 years now...)! I know it involves buying a piece that's USB on one end but allows you to plug a 1/4" cable or a mic at the other end...good luck...

  • @greengtrs ok thx i will try it

the thing is: i heard about an s/p dif cable...

but i am not sure about that

then i heard about a simple cable, going out of the (L) mono aoutputs --> i don't know where to insert at my pc

    oh god...

    very disappointing -.-

    ^^

  • @greengtrs you need an audio interface. Something receives guitar and mic inputs. Then you open a new track in Garage band, real instrument and you should be good to go.

  • @mtvenus I've been looking into them...that and a new camera that will accept a mic input so I can put my trusty SM-57's to use again.

  • @555Lemmy666 I'm sure it's just a cable from the LE's mono out to your computers line in.

    Or try SPDIF

  • @555Lemmy666 you should have a left and right mono output on the SE....plug those into an older cassette deck with left and right mic inputs. from your line outs on the tape deck adapt audio jack to stereo ( Y adapter) and plug into your line in on your sound card. You can use your recording level controls on the tape deck to adjust the signal going into your sound card so you don't damage it..... your tape deck has to be on record and pause....easy...hope this helps

  • @embrasseur i am sure it would work if i just had the SE unfortunatley i've got the LE ;)

but thanks for your help anyway :)

  • great collection dude, LOVE the AORs in the corner

  • @otherrandomhero Most of what you see here is not actually my collection (I buy/sell/trade guitars), but the Marshall Studio 15 and the Laney AOR's are...they need some love (repairs/maintenance) and I'll do some demo's of them too...

  • Dude! You sound exactly like Christian Slater! It's freakin' me out!

  • @AndyBoy63 Funny...I've been told I look like him too, but everyone here has me pegged for Jack Black or Gearmandude even though this is the only video I've done with any kind of effects pedal.

  • @AndyBoy63

hah, you're damn right :) may be it's him :)

  • hey men.. u should try a nice clean/ semi chorus sound but not actually the chorus we will use.. assign the pedal to clean effect and then mix the pitch shifter.. here what u going to do.. in the pitch shifter, put the pitch into "0", fine "10", tracking "50', direct "10.0" effect "10.0".. men trust me u gonna like it..

  • i'm sorry dude but either thats a big-ass guitar in the background or your tiny... i'm willing to go with the big ass guitar theory

  • does it have reverse delay?

  • hey i have this and im really confused and have made due with what this thing has given me. anytime i turn on the amp/cabinets, there is no sound whatsoever, but when i turn them off, all i get is a clean sound, and don't even get me started on trying to fix gain, treble, etc.. but im able to use the pedal effects, reverb, and mod/delay for my needs up until now, but i really want to get this figured out. i can't for example use wah and distortion, i can only have either/or.. :/ please help..

  • @SkidKid21 I never mastered mine...I read some of the manual and made some basic settings but never really went past the basics. Have you tried customer service at Vox (Korg)...I bet they have specialists who could help you troubleshoot it and get you either back on track or guide you to a repair facility...

  • @SkidKid21... I assume you tried to crank all gain and tone controls? You have pre-amp gain, power amp "gain" (essentially acts like a master volume control on a regular amp) and after the tone controls, a "channel volume" control which allows you to assign a preset volume for a program (i.e. bank 1 patch 3) Also, are either of the expression pedals (wah pedals) assigned to volume control? Let me know what if you figure it out, or if there's anything else I can help you with.

  • @SkidKid21 if all else fails, reset it..

  • @SkidKid21 Try doing a factory re-set and start again from scratch, it is sooo easy to program when you get the hang of it. You can't use distortion effect and wah effect together sadly, but if you set up a patch with wah' you can use the A/B amp setting to give you the distorted sound. I have had three of these and will always keep one as I can't find a better combo' pedal .

  • hey man good video im looking o buy this or the tonelab le how much was yours?

  • You're totally slackin'. You need more gear. (sarcasm)

  • @dgwhite1972 Most of this is "business" owned stuff and not "personal" stuff...check out the back round on some of the more recent videos as it's always changing and this one is not as cool as lots of the other vids I've got...

    Thanks for watching!

  • has anyone tried pluging this in straight into a pa?

  • Hi man! I'm thinking of buying this pedal and I have a few question about it:

    1) Is this pedal good for playing live ?

    2) Can you set your own effects on each channel (bank) ? for example: can you set channel 1 and 2 with clean and channel 3 and 4 with distorsion ?

  • @thedarkevil6 1) Yes 2) Yes...you can make each pre-set exactly what you want...whatever amp/speakers/effects/levels and any 2 things on it can be controlled via the expression pedals (like amount of depth for chorus or the amount of gain for the amp or levels of distortion...or simply volume)...and you have way, way more than 4 channels...

  • @greengtrs Ok man thanks a lot!

That was really helpful to me :D

  • - what can you do with the expression pedals? eg. pitch chnaging thingey

    - is there more than 1 type of wah setting? eg. with the GT-10 you can change the sweep of the wah

    - does the Marshall & Fender amps on the pedal do justice to the actual amplifiers?

    - would you reccomend any other multi-effects pedal, I've got a big budget =)

  • @wanaplayrough It's been a while since I owned this...but from memory you could assign either of the expression pedals to just about anything...from pitch change to (chorus or delay or flange, etc.) speed or depth to amount of volume or distortion...and I've never used a better all in one pedal...the effects sounded great to my ears and as long as you used a good amp, the amp models sounded decent...mind you, not as good as having all those amps, but for one kills all, this was pretty amazing!

  • @greengtrs

    thanks for the reply,

I don't own a Tube Amplifier, I have a Roland Cube 20X, do you think it would do the pedal justice?

  • @wanaplayrough Not really except at low volumes at home...if you have the funds you say you have, get a nice all tube amp you like the basic clean sound on and add this to it ...

  • @greengtrs

thanks for hte reply, I'm aiming ot get a Marshall TSL-100

  • @greengtrs I run mine through a pair of Tech 21 Power Engine 60's in stereo. Loud and proud, does everything from my bedroom late at night to medium sized clubs.

  • dude im ginnin the fender on a avatar cab.... great setup

  • whats better a le or a se

  • The SE does more and you can control more with your feet...

  • ok thanks man

  • what kind of amp are you playing through tube or soild state iam looking to be able to play one of those through a plexi with no effects in amp not even reverb

  • Fender Super Sonic...straight tube amp...not using the reverb on it at all...

  • nice playing bro my se sounds very weired no sustain and very choppy cut up notes helpp please i play a ibanez rg 350 dx

  • i dont care about the les paul even tho it LOOKS lovely :) but tell us more about the My VOX Tonelab SE. does anyone use them for any other sounds apart from heavy rock/metal?

  • @spillandambience yep, i use mine for everything, exelent clean sounds and briliant OD. Not agood pedal for metal, but it's killer for rock and blues stuff

  • man i got one of these and it still doesntsound that great because of my cock sucking guitar bc rich warlock bronze series but i cant figure outof to use this thing

  • use the manual.

  • Niiiiiiiiiice guitar

  • I'm in the position of getting a Les Paul. how would you compare the Gibson Les Paul Goldtop Custom Historic Reissue 1957 vs. the Gibson Les Paul Traditional?

  • Dude I love vox awesome tone. I want one super bad

  • does this have to go through a computer?

  • Nothing is going through the computer here...except for downloading the video into it so I could upload it to YouTube so you could watch it (through your computer).

  • I found tonelab LE (new) and tonelab SE (used) at the same price which I should get? and why?

  • Go to the Vox site and do some research and decide what features you want/need. The SE does way more and has 2 pedals for controlling all sorts of parameters vs. only one. I would probably go with the used myself as long it was in good shape and no problems...they are built like tanks.

  • the SE has more features :)

  • ty, now i know i done the right choice, i bought the Se about 2 months ago ^^

  • Should I get this or the Digitech GNX4?

  • More bells and whistles on the Digitech (and some cool features) but this one has a better tone and is built like a tank...

  • Guy's voice sounds like Jack Black.

  • Look up Gearmandude....

  • What exactly am I looking for by him?

I ended up going with the Digitech. I found a really good deal for it and figured I could always sell it and probably make a profit if I didn't like it.

  • THAT guy sounds like Jack Black (Gearmandude).

  • Sorry, I didn't mean to look him up for gear, I mean for you to look him up because I find he REALLY sounds like Jack Black.

  • AH, Ebay

  • that is a beautiful guitar, it reminds me of a carvin custom

  • ohh! i have this guitar and I soo love it

  • love the black guitar man

  • Hey joakoPRIMUS, I have this pedal and it's very easy to use. You should connect this Tonelab SE to your PC this way it's way more clear which parameters you're adjusting. Also you could just load patches other people have already made so yea it's much easier than other floorboards :)

  • wanna know why its a gorgeous top? its not real maple...its a veneer...guitar wallpaper basically :)

  • Where are you getting your info from? As far as I know these are real (solid) Maple tops...look at a bunch...they are all different and there are plenty of "ugly" ones...if they were going to go to the trouble of using veneers it would make more sense that they would only use good looking wood...at least they never went with the "foto-flame" trend that happened a few years back (where it wasn't even a veneer, but a piece of film that gave the wood a "flamed" look)...

  • If you take the pups out you'll see how thin the maple is, I've worked with a fair few Epi's and never seen one with a full maple cap. Some have a veneer on top and then a thin cap underneath, where the actual layer of maple is made of many peices of non-book matched maple and then veneered over the top to give it the good look. I havent ever seen inside an Ultra so this is just in my experience. They still sound great regardless

  • Your clean tone is so amazing! I've got the Tonelab SE too!

  • hey men could you tell me if this pedal is easy to use and if is easy to programme, cause i wanna buy this pedal.

  • its easy to use......great pedal...but thats my opinion..ive had mine for 8 months now

  • Looks like you have a case of GAS as bad as mine. I've never met a guitar, amp or pedal I didn't think I needed to own. If you have the money and enjoy it, its great.
