1. Go to battle.net, create an account.

2. Go to game support (I think).

3. You can actually register your cd's there so you'll get a download manger to install diablo, but in that case, obviously you won't need to watch the video because they automatically this for you.

Hi I have a question. I was wondering when u say copy the two files I saw in the beginning of the video it says diablo 2 exp disc but in exp disc all i see when i open it as u said it says installer. However the d2music file u mentioned I found it on diablo 2 play disc cd. Is that what you meant? copy that and then there is another large file about 234mb character file

@Enigmaprince Hello prince, first I want to make sure you have both the orginal and LoD installed. I'm not sure why your only seeing the installer, I guess what I can say is to make sure your clicking explore. The files you found on the original play disc are supposed to be there, youre replacing them with LoD files. There shouldnt be a character file to worry about, just video and music files. Run through it again and let me know what happens.

@breaies Hi again and thanks for the fast reply :) I had some problem with the cd asking me to insert a LoD disc 1 when it stops at 53% but I found a way through it all luckely. What I did was first to install diablo 2. then google newest patch and patch it through internet. then i put play disc2 and took a copy manually some D2musicfile into the diablo2 folder. Becoz obviously thats what stopped the LoD exp disc to complete installment. and then installed LoD and patched it :)

However. I have run into another problem hehe. Ive installed Median Xl mod. And I wanted plugy to work with it as well. But it seems that the newest version 1.13 doesnt work for plugy or there is some people who explayns how to make it work but it doesnt for me for some odd reason..

@shikitsunee You might have moved the files to the wrong directory, or you might not even have LoD installed, orrr you simply clicked the wrong icon, hope this helps.

@QuirkyGengar If you dont have a disc drive period, but have the game's CD key, what you should do is log into your blizzard account on their website, or make an account if you dont already have it. Ive discovered I can register my classic blizzard games' CD keys online with them, and it gives me the option to download them from there. Given, Ive never actually done the download installation, but logicaly if Blizzard planned this out well, the downloaded version should work without the disc.

@QuirkyGengar If you register an account on battle.net, you can register your cd keys and download a download client so you don't have to have the cds. However, in my opinion, downloading from the cds is quicker.

It is you will find one difference: when you go to the diablo II properties under the shortcut tab there is no "Find Target" or whatever, instead you clikc 'Open File Location" - everything else is the same and works wonders =)
