Shelley is an EXCELLENT wrestler, one of the very few who could match Bryan Danielson on the mat. His match with Claudio Castagnoli in ROH on 29 Oct 2005 was an incredible display of technical wrestling. His respect to Japan and the puro wrestlers increases my own respect for him. Shelley also has hundreds of tapes of wrestling matches which he owns. The man is a wrestling encyclopedia, and he deserves better than to work in the Russo-era TNA. Forget RVD. Shelley is Michigan's top pro wrestler.

Had Shelley and Sabin stayed in ROH after their four tag matches there, they would without any doubt be the ROH World Tag Team Champions.

I've heard, though, that Shelley was due for a huge push in ROH, but his heavy involvement with TNA got in the way of that. I loved watching him in Generation Next and later in The Embassy. In the ring and on the mic, Alex Shelley rules.

@flameheadx17 Lagana's not much of an improvement, imo. From what London and Kendrick have said about him, Lagana won't help you if there's nothing in it for him. So, if you're a wrestler who isn't interested in playing politics and therefore will have no connections that he could latch on to via you, he dosen't give a shit.

Still, Russo's gone! Thank god...now for Hogan and Bischoff...

Sorry man, but I consider Jerry Lynn to be the better man than RVD, as a wrestler and as a person. Turns out, Van Dam is an arrogant guy who considers wrestlers like Christopher Daniels to be beneath him. He jumped to TNA when it was clear that all an ex-WWE star has to do to become a top guy there is show up. Lynn, on the other hand, had to work to become ROH World Champion.

@CMY187 Really true about RVD. Plus Lynn has a really sick sunset flip. About Jimmy, AOTF was meant to be disturbing. He openly admitted he was on drugs at the time though on a DG USA interview. Look up the youtube video: Jimmy Jacobs revealed. There's 3 parts, and it's mostly about his drug abuse, but the 3rd one is that and Jimmy on his fued with Jon Moxley at the time.
