  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • Yes, m43 has what they call a 2x "crop factor" compared to 35mm lens focal lengths.

  • Does the magnification double when using an fd lens on a micro four thirds. For example, a 50mm on an old slr would be equivalent to 100mm on a micro four thirds

  • Thanks for the tour

  • Canon made a 14mm L FD mount rectilinear lens. Very expensive but well worth it. i will give ya 200 for your 17mm fd

  • I know the EVF question is a bit old, sorry for not replying sooner, but I almost exclusively use the EVF on my GH1. That's partially because I'm used to using a viewfinder with film cameras and partially because I find it easier to take good shots that way. I use the LCD for macro shots and off angles (like holding the camera above a crowd).

  • I usually use manual lenses in aperture priority mode, and yes, the camera automatically adjusts the sensitivity during videos. I don't think I've shot a video in manual mode, so I don't know that off of the top of my head.

  • I haven't used the G10, but on my GH1, you can use the focus assist with legacy lenses by pressing the left-arrow button. The camera will not automatically engage the focus assist like it does with m43 lenses.

  • Great video! So I have a Lumix G10. Did you say that the focus assist works with these FD lenses?

  • The illumination or amount of light in your video demos are changed automatically by the camera if I am not mistaken. the camera senses the change in aperture and lack of light and makes the ISO go higher. am I right?

If this is true, then it means that even if the lens is not electronic, the camera can still give you exposure correction under the automatic setting, changing either ISO or shooting speed. Then, in manual mode, Would the camera show you under-exposure or over-exposure?

    Thank you

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • I love this video

  • hey im trying to decide between the panasonic g2 and olympus e-p1

how often do you use the evf on your camera ?

  • I just ordered a panasonic lumix g3 in white and i cant wait to get it lol. I need a good lens :)

  • Vivitar made a wide variety of lenses and many were quite good. Their high-end line of lenses are labeled as "Series 1"

  • are vivatar lense any good ????

  • great video. information & demonstrations were VERY helpful

  • I purchased mine from JinFinance on eBay (called the RJ camera accessory store)

  • What is the brand name of the adapters you bought? I am trying to purchase an FD adapter. I tried to catch the name you mentioned but did not see an ebay seller with any similar sounding name.

  • Both Canon FD and Nikon F mounts have quite a few inexpensive lenses available. I would start by figuring out what type of lenses you might want (macro, telephoto, etc) and then seeing what they cost in different mounts on eBay or at KEH. The Lecia and Contax mounts usually have more expensive lenses

  • Thanks for this. Very informative. What are the most affordable legacy lenses in terms of lens mount?

  • Thanks Brad for the good info using legacy glass on m43. Ain't it fun?
