Your theory of why people emigrate to the US bc it is "free" is wrong. Countries in the Gulf region have massive immigration rates, often times 75% or more of the total population are immigrants. Yet these countries are anything but free, and workers are frequently no more than slaves.

But they still go, and their going there does not mean by any stretch of the imagination, that these countries are free.

And workers can't obtain permanency there. Probably they had higher rates if so.
