Jazzbeaux was the greatest. He used to play a New Orleans jazz style rendition of California Here I Come. Anybody know who did it? Thanks for posting this.
In 1963, my mom and I attended a chilly, after dark open-to-the-public party hosted by Jazzbo in the ruins of the recently demolished Fox Theater on Market St. in San Francisco. Lots of great music and goofiness, as only Al could provide. We laughed and shivered for hours. But then the ultimate! Jazzbo had us all raise our right hands and speak those immortal words…..”I don’t got to show you no stinkin’ badges”. Yes, making mom and me....official Banditos!!!!
Jazzbeaux was the best. He was on LA radio briefly in the 60's and I was, rather, am a fan. I loved the music and being drawn in by his discription of the Purple Grotto.
