I guess a lot of the comments on this video are from North America. The red squirrel in this video is native to Europe (and Russia). The American grey squirrel is now ubiquitous in parts of Europe these days (but contrary to myth do not "push out" the native reds). Probably thought there was squirrel oil over here.... ;-)

They are endangered in UK and Italy due to the agressive, larger grey squirrel which, ironically, was introduced on purpose to UK. Big mistake. Not in middle Europe though... yet. I'm German and the lovely red and sometimes brown or black ones are very common here, billions in the parks and forrests. I love them! Hope the grey one doesn't pass the Alps northwards, despite being cute animals, too.
