Ner'zhul was torn to piece by Kiljaden and then offerd a chance of redemption and so took it, his spirit was imbued in magical armour which was sealed in a block of ice from the twisting nether. The irony was the great power he possesed was hinderd by his captivity and watch under the dreadlords. It's only at the end of the campaign when Arthas becomes the Lick King

The day marked with greed and money, where terrified heroes and champions grouped with noobs, i carried many noobs through dungeons, but the raiders paid the ultimate price. A lot of things about TBC pissed me off, but nothing so much as the Draenei. First, blizzard twisted their own lore to turn THE DEMON RACE WHO ORIGINALLY CORRUPTED SARGERAS into a noble and powerful space traveling fantasy version of the freaking Protoss, and then, as if to justify that, they went on to change the meaning of Draenor, telling us the draenei named it. The orcs are the natives of that world, and yet every single notable structure from BT to Shat was built by the draenei? So stupid.

I mean wtf, didnt the orcs have a name for their planet already? Didnt the orcs BUILD STUFF?! I mean other than Hellfire Citadel and the dark portal, there are no orcish ruins, no notable settlements, no strongholds, no landmarks, no monuments. Every single structure of any interest outside of hellfire and a few keeps in shadowmoon was built by the freaking draenei, including the capital city and peak raiding dungeon, to say nothing of auchindoun.

That always irritated me to no end.

@nochio23 Nope, go look in the original Pre-BC Lore. The Eradar corrupted sargeras. Sargeras had already imprisoned the dreadlords when he encountered the Eradar, and their all-consuming corruption vexed him sorely. It was fighting the Eradar that eventually drove Sargeras to determine that Chaos was the natural order of the universe, and his fellow Titans were fools. When his fall was complete, he smashed the prisons he'd put the Eradar and the Dreadlords in, and made them his minions.

The dreadlords, according to WoW lore, were one of only TWO races known to have originated in the nether, the other being the Eradar.

Blizzard changed that lore after BC to justify the Draenei. In fact, they forgot to edit the lore right up to launch day, so everyone could see damn well what they'd done.

What really irks me is just the fact that prior to TBC, the draenei NEVER EXISTED, and NEVER EXISTED ON DRAENOR for that matter, and yet after blizzard created them, they took away the orc homeworld and made it all about their new outer-spacey tentacle-faced protoss-wannabee race.

So suddenly, orcs are flea-picking nomads who didnt even have a name for their own freaking home planet, even though they apparently named every feature of that planet, at least when the alien interlopers let them!

1) I did play WC3. I own it. There's no draenei in it. There's eradar, which are demons.

2) No, they didnt. The Draenei did not exist prior to TBC, because the Eradar were a purely demonic race, one of only two races known to have originated within the nether, namely Eradar and Dreadlords.

3) Yes, Outland and the gate are all described, and there are even missions to go to outland, but there are no draenei there, just orcs.

@Etimos 1) Did you play the frozen throne? In that, Akama, also seen in this trailer, introduces himself as one of the draenai.

2) All eredar and draenai were the same race, called the eredar, but the draenai split off, naming themselves draenai or "exiled ones" because the rest of that race chose to accept power from sargeras and join the legion.

3) There are missions in the frozen throne where you have to go to outland, and seal the portals to other worlds.

@LordNaryuk I see. Well, I do have frozen throne, but i havent played WC3 in YEARS, with many Ss and much emphasis on the A LONG TIIME AGO part, so I dont remember the eradar part. I may not have done the whole frozen throne campaign, or I may have, i dunno.

All I know is that the lore on blizzard's own website said that the Eradar were one of two races known to be native to the nether, full-blooded demons, responsible for Sargeras' corruption, not vice versa, so they still screwed up.

The Draenei are Eredar, Draenei means "Exiled Ones" in their tongue. They are the Eredar who refused Sargeras' offer of power and fled Argus with Velen.

Archimonde, Kil'Jaeden and all the other Eredar who joined the Burning Legion are referred to as the Man'ari.
